Meh, Ronnie just needs to stay out of the way and get primed up for 2028
What better place to get primed up for 2028 than the VP slot?
4 years of on-the-job training would be a bad thing? I'm very partial to Vivek as my VP choice but I still don't fully trust him, so Ron would be my #1 right now for sure. I'm ok with almost anyone Trump picks though as long as it's not an avowed socialist (Gabbard) and not a MIC-owned warmonger (Nimrata).

could be a smoke screen... those always go out right before running mates are announced

Ron is probably better off campaigning for Trump to set himself up as the huge frontrunner for '28. He's young, he's got a hell of a record as governor. As Trump's VP there's too much danger of a public spat that lingers for years.

Also, I doubt this has anything to do with VP.
There are too many obstacles, and Trump is not going to pick an ultra Conservative. He likely will pick a moderate.
This is about the two sides making up, or pretending to, which solidifies the Conservative hold outs for Trump, allows Desantis to campaign for him in Florida and fundraise, speak at the RNC in likely a relatively prime timeslot, and repair his image with MAGA voters.
Its a win for both politically, but Trump is going to pick some one much more Moderate than Ron (and likely should, strategically).

And get the stink of Trump on you for 4 years?
If Trump somehow wins this year, 2028 will make 2020 look like kid's play

DeSantis would be crazy to accept.
Too many former appointees of Trump end up being his scapegoats. Who would want that?

Its the kiss of death. Everyone Trump touches becomes the scapegoat.

Not many better ways to do that than being veep

Would be a Great Ticket!
Much better than people today deserve.

Yeah Ron tried that, swung and missed.

He can do all these things, (and almost certainly will), without taking the risk of the VP slot.

Vote for the ticket.
But that’s not good material for a circle jerk. Just let them do what they always do; make up things that the ronbots say in their imaginations then just say trigger, cuck and bots for 10 pages.

Why would Trump align himself with someone he called “Desanctimonious”?
Awww... are your widdle fee fees still hurt that a couple meanie nicknames were said about Ron during a tense political campaign?

Yeah, that was literally my point. He's not being considered for VP.
Trump will (and likely should) pick a moderate.

The problem is, Ron needs this to be the 2028 frontrunner. If he turns it down, Vivek is the 2028 front runner.

Once again, Ron wont be VP and yet the bots are making it about that. Was never going to be president or VP
