The funniest is the pure idiocy of the folks that buy used German vehicles with over 40k miles just to keep up with the Joneses.
That shite is all over Dallas. Pathetic

Just wait till the battery needs to be replaced in that Tesla.
I guess those Tesla owners are saving on oil changes?

I'm convinced Corollas and Tacomas will outlast 99% of vehicles is properly maintained

Yes, they save on gas/fuel costs, oil changes and many other wear tear ICE parts over the 8-10 year of the life span of the battery
The real thing is, no one knows the cost or type of battery that someone who buys a Tesla new today will be replacing in 8-10 years (post warranty).
With how quickly the tech is advancing, 8 years is an eternity and the battery will probably be cheaper, lighter weight and go longer distance than the battery they have in today. You can’t use the price today unless you are talking to someone who bought a Tesla in 2014…and the differences between 2014-2024 Tesla is already pretty extreme

Abused Corollas and Tacomas will outlast 80% of other vehicles.

Most Tesla owners probably aren’t going to replace their batteries:
Tesla Model 3 Review After 200,000 Miles

His battery has experienced around 13% degradation after 200,000 miles.
And even if they do, it’ll be a decade from now when they’re will almost definitely be cheaper batteries and battery replacements.

Reliability is a tricky metric.
Some cars have more problems but it can be a cheap, easy and quick fix whereas other cars are more reliable but when they do break it's $2000 and 10 days until you get your car back.
Ultimately reliability is about time and money.

Agree it’ll be interesting to see how putting a newer tech battery into an older chassis impacts the value of used Teslas.

What a broad spectrum, and Buick beat out Toyota? I'm not surprised just curious what models

Land Rover with the spot of shame. Saw one today in its natural habitat on the way home from work….. on jack stands.

I do see that at my gym.
I don’t buy European just because I don’t want a 2 grand bill every time a part breaks.

So will a 911.
And you'll make a lot more and actually enjoy every mile.

Can actually lower maintenance costs on cars like Acura and Lexus. Find a good independent mechanic or simply take them to a Honda/Toyota dealer. They can perform all the maintenance on their luxury brands at a discount.

That's because the 10 year old Buick only has 7,500 miles on it.

I have to think at some point there will be 3rd parties selling rebuilt Tesla batteries at a lower price point. You’d think someone like Pep Boys or Midas would look into investing in something like this.

So:
1. A car that most owners that bought new get rid of after 5 years.
2. A car old people own and don’t drive anywhere so there is no maintenance
3. Toyota
