I love my Diesel Yukon XL. It gets 24 MPG on average, can carry everybody and anything, is safe and tough as nails. I can drive 650 miles and not worry about a dead battery. I can fill up a the Buckee’s of my choice and roll.
I really love my 911 but cost isn’t everything and Ruth’s costs a lot more than Outback but you know…it’s worth it.
My battery operated golf cart is great to ride around the neighborhood.

My 6-year old Model 3 LR is still at almost 250 miles at 80% charge. I had been charging to 90% for the first 5 years but read 80% is better. I think my battery has only degraded about 1% a year. At 10 years, even with a little more degradation, I'll easily have over 200 miles on an 80% charge.

I've never owned a Tesla, but I've owned the rest of the top 5. It's a pretty solid list.
Currently have 3 Fords that get used daily, all over 15 years old. Only 1 of them has less than 100,00 miles.
I've never spent that much on maintenance on any of them.
I would drive any of them across the country at the drop of a hat.

Damn things are as finicky as a spoiled house cat. Always something small you don’t even realize exists until it fails or you get a recall letter.
Same thing happened to their tanks and planes in WW II. It’s tradition I guess.

GMC Yukon XL
I’m disappoint. 139k miles and going back in today for 3rd AC repair in 8 months…..running total towards $2k
Tranny replaced at 123k miles (stranded us in BFE).
Thermostat replaced recently ( I did it).
Throttle body replaced recently.
Air shocks replaced (that one made sense)
Air pressure system currently inoperable.
I may be off base with most repairs hitting beyond 120k miles, but we’ve babied the thing and I expected 150k without big time failures.

911's are dead reliable, and have the best resale of any car going.
BMW's 5 Series is the best driving sedan made, and the SUV derivative is outstanding as well. Both are very reliable. This has not only been my experience, but friends as well. Year-over maintenance costs will obviously be more than a Corolla, but...
Audi, M-B; not so much.

Bought my wife a Mini Cooper back in 2015 or so. She absolutely loved that car. Thing was fun as hell to drive and was actually bigger inside than you think but thats another conversation

I’ve had Audis for the last 15 years. The wife drives BMW for the last 5-6 years. Never an issue outside of scheduled maintenance. Last Audi went for 158k.

To me ... These are pretty narrow margins of cost difference The avg cost of a Tesla over the first five yrs over an Audi ( near the bottom of the list) is $22 a month. Granted that is $260 a year but isn't a drastic difference
