lmao you think we're gonna win 2 road games and lose both the games at home??

You're not serious are you?

Dead serious. We almost won on the road last night.

We’re the best road team in the league.

How do we play at home in the SKC again?

ETA just look at the past couple weeks. We were on a 6 game losing streak at home before getting lucky and getting matched up with the Kings instead of the Warriors in final play in game. And even that was only our second home win against a top 10 team in the west in 4 months.

I know the best player isn’t likely to impact the series. But if I learned one thing last night it’s that the Pels CAN win this series.

What makes you think we can win the series? Honest question. We’ve choked away 95% of our close games this season late in the fourth. We did it again last night. Do you think we are going to blow OKC out for four wins? Cause this team CANT win close games. It’s been proven throughout the entire season.

I honestly think we will win this in 7. I like the fight in this team.

JV also needed mote 4th Q minutes last night. I thought Larry had some good moments like night but JV on Chet could’ve really worn him down in the 4th. If Chet beats you from long range you live with it.

This all day long...you play inside/out ball in the 4th with JV, we win even with a cold shooting night all around. OKC was exposed, question will be can WG adjust and not be his own worst enemy....

I’m hard on the Saints and Pels. I’m not one of the “well, the boys played hard” fans. Absolutely last night was crushing to the hopes to win the series. But it is a 7 game series, and we can beat these guys. So both played shitty, the 1 seed beat the 8, by 2 at home. Lots of ball to be played.

Pels aren’t supposed to win. Hell, they may end up getting swept, especially it they don’t switch the trend of shitty play at home. But I still think they can take this series to 7 games and have a shot.

You outrebound them +8 and out offensive rebound them +10. You hold the most accurate 3P team in the league (38.9%) to 31.3% on 32 attempts. Refs let ya play for the most part and kept SGA off the line. There’s not going to be a more favorable opportunity to take advantage of in this series The back to back possessions where we immediately turned over the defensive rebs, the four bricks off of the offensive rebounds. This is Mickey Mouse bullshite that costs you games

I’m not going to argue with you. Was a frustrating, throw shite at the tv type game. Hard to lose that one, no doubt.

OKC also played terrible and couldn’t shoot.

Or

Our defense shut them down.

If I'm not mistaken, it was JV 16 minutes to Nance 8 in the 1st half

Then 12 and 12 in the 2nd half...why?

And Nance was mostly fine, he just could not do the things and give us the clear advantages Val did.

Holy hell, that’s bad for a crappy team, yet alone a nearly 50 win team scrapping for playoff seeding. Inexcusable.

Everything you say is true. Trends say unlikely. I just feel like the Pels can play better (as can the Thunder), and I think Herb can stifle SGA enough to make every game competitive. I give the Pels defense more credit for the Thunder’s poor performance than most I guess who are chalking it up to youth, jitters etc, by OKC.

One or two shots fall last night and we’re all on a high. If we play smarter on offense we win going away. But to your question will the Pels flip that trend? I don’t know. I hope so.

We’re so fricking close. If we could have stolen this one I’d say we’re going to win.

If we go 0-2 in OKC, Zion has to play starting G3.

I posted this before the game:

Teams that win Game 1 at home in the first round are 105-13 (89%) those series.

We would have to significantly defy the odds to win this series.

I think last night showed me maybe this can be a competitive series. But what’s concerning is that BI and CJ continue to struggle. Stars win series, if they don’t play better- we don’t have a shot.

I find it amusing that OKC fans are saying we played amazing and they played their worst game of the year….

We both played bad. Especially on offense but the rebounding issue wont change for them and Shai struggles with Herb. Their offense is basically Shai and guys shooting/cutting to the rim. Its not hard to defend if you have a good defense with long athletic guys like we do. Like I said it might be a competitive series but CJ and BI need to play MUCH better. Even if they get past us- I can easily see clippers/mavs taking them out with ease in second round.

But certainly proud of the effort and performance. Winning that game 1 would have given us an outside chance to take the series, but with that loss, we aren't winning this series.

They probably won't win the series, but there's no difference between winning game 1 or game 2, unless the point you're making is that we had to win both games in OKC.

I think we split in OKC, split in NOLA, ultimately lose in 6... again.
