Anybody that wants to be on this is already biased.
Your identity is going to get out. You will be contacted or harassed from both sides of the Trump spectrum. This will continue after it’s over and your vote is leaked. From phone calls to physical threats to cancel culture to actual violence.
Anybody wanting to be there wants to “stop” Trump or “save” Trump. It’s already a clown show. Imagine the show ends up on your lawn?

Remember that New York City is comprised of five counties/boroughs. It picks its juries by borough, not from the city as a whole. Thus, you are not going to see anyone on this jury from Queens or the Bronx or Staten Island or Brooklyn. Only Manhattan. if I had to bet, I would guess that Manhattan is the least Trump-friendly of the five boroughs. Staten Island and parts of Brooklyn actually look fairly pro-Trump. (Factoid: Staten Island is more White than the national average)
That jury (so far) is a far more educated group than one would expect on a Manhattan jury. At least five of these seven (2/3/5/6/7) have college degrees of some sort. Lawyers, a teacher, a nurse. Add a possible business owner (the Puerto Rican IT guy is upper mgmt at least).
It looks like the northern half of the island got weeded out “for cause.”
Their news sources include the WSJ (Center Right), Fox (Center Right) and the NY Post (teeters between Center Right & Far Right). Not as bad as the OP portrays.

Down to 6 and maybe 5. One female juror is out, after she reported to the judge is fearful for her life because she believes her identity is public.
Another male juror is being questioned again after prosecutors found he was arrested in the 90's for tearing down political advertisements
