Reading another post an OT baw said "cough it up to" as opposed to "chalk it up to"...I've also seen a "nip it in the butt" as opposed to "nip it in the bud"....and "riding a dead horse" instead of "beating a dead horse"
What are some other OT genius examples?

Should of, Could of, Would of

“Should of”
“Could of”
“Would of”
Etc
Instead of the actual correct should have or should’ve

Half of the mouth breathers on here don't know the difference between Sale and Sell, Too and To, There Their and They're.
But since you mentioned it: "I could care less" comes to mind. Along with "For all intended purposes."

"intensive purposes"
Edited to add: I logged back in to provide full disclosure. I only mention this example and laugh because I said it this way for many years, until I realized I had been misusing the term "intents and purposes" for so long.

OT, but I saw a dude on YT as a joke say "You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes... you can make lemonade... or something like that."
I loved it and had a shirt made.
