I don't understand why they only kept 3 of the USFL team names.
It makes no sense to use the Roughnecks name instead of the Gamblers in the USFL conference.

I mean, Trump was right.
The USFL won their lawsuit.
THE $1 judgement was probably metered out by this guy:

The sideline access to Wade Phillips is comedy gold.
He's either completely clueless about what's happening or he's completely annoyed.

You must be a blast at parties. It is possible to enjoy CFB, the NFL, Spring Football, NBA, NHL and many others. How sad it must be to pick something and just hate it for absolutely no legitimate reason.

I had to search high and low to find this and ended up on youtube.

How does the chip know when the runner is down?
its twofold, the program tracks the balls movement so it can tell when forward progress is stopped and its also a time stamp issue so the refs say when the whistle is blown and where its marked at that time stamp is where its shown.
it takes every bit of doubt over whether they made the mark to gain or not.
nothing is perfect, but this is as close as you can get, and its the only way to do it when you cant see the ball inside a pile of bodies in a goal line scrum

This is a part I've never understood about the spring football leagues. I think it works best when the team cities are markets the NFL doesn't serve so it's more exciting for those areas.
If it was me it would be the following cities for the UFL:
San Diego
Salt Lake City
San Antonio (current)
Memphis (current)
Birmingham (current)
St. Louis
Orlando
Fort Lauderdale
Louisville
Columbus
All of these are essentially the top cities in the U.S. that do not have an NFL team and all are unlikely to get NFL teams going forward. All of these cities would also have college or other local stadiums that are ready to be used (without having to use MLS stadiums).
You would also have some potential ready made rivalries like San Diego-Salt Lake City, Birmingham-Memphis, Orlando-Ft. Lauderdale and Louisville-Columbus.
Putting teams in cities where the NFL already has a team is just a setup for failure. Those teams will always be second fiddle to the local NFL team and by a long shot.

I watched some of the 1st two weekends and couldn't get into it at all. The games were close, but not very entertaining. I thought last year's NFL season was boring too though.

Ahhh we have it here in STL? We average like 40k

That's cause the NFL is managed by a Neanderthal who has no interest in the integrity of the game.

Kinda like how people on here think it's not possible to cheer for both LSU and McNeese? Heck, I'm originally from Oklahoma so throw OU in there for me too.

What’s the UFL?
The USFL and XFL merged and went w/UFL for the new name

I could dig that.
I'd probably add Oakland and Portland in, and maybe Omaha and Oklahoma City.

This cannot be entirely accurate, unless the chip is the size of the ball.
If it’s in the center and the nose crosses the goal line, it’s a touchdown but the chip would say short.

Now I ain't no mathmagician, but a simple formula of [(chip position) + (.5 * length of football)] would probably solve this conundrum

Watched the Houston/Michigan game until the 3rd quarter and the best part of the game was watching the kicker for the Panthers drill long field goals with ice in his veins. The actual offense vs defense was pitiful, mostly because the Roughnecks had no defense. Between the woefully bad scheme and the pitiful tackling I'm surprised the Panthers weren't steam rolling them in the fist quarter.
