Which government powers do you support that aren't hypocritical to your stance?
Enforcement of property rights
Limited policing power built around strong Constitutional protections (especially with respect to things like bail and sentencing) and a limited number of crimes.
National defense.
As a functional proposal, I do believe in federalism though, with strict constitutional protections limiting government in the 1st 2 topics. If a state wants to tax/spend for a healthcare or education policy, they should be allowed to do so.

He's been kind of celebrated on here in the era of social media

Not the bombing part, obviously

Sure, but it's a function of government.
I'm not an ancap and used to argue with them on here.

Jesus you are a confused person. Mentally incapable of common sense with a pedigree of doubling down on stupid. It is frightening that you are supposedly a lawyer. I have no faith in our higher learning institutions or parenting if SFP types are being produced. Society has failed.

You certainly do.

I never took you for a big, 'we must reign in technology' kind of guy.

Societal trial and error. Lots of people can't handle technology and lots of negative externalities are emerging.
Now, I'm not saying there should be a law or anything, but there are going to be natural distinctions develop. Like in the past the parents who read to children more produced smarter kids...the ones who limit screen time will produce smarter kids.
Leftists will proclaim a gap and try to enact regulations to force the lower end from hurting themselves, Wash, rinse, repeat.

Have you ever commented on J6ers being held without trial?
I haven’t. Don’t think I’ve ever made a post about J6 at all.
However, you are injecting a topic that is irrelevant to the subject at hand by assuming that the generic “we” hold opinions that “we” may or may not hold, and using that as a point of your argument.
Back the Blue and J6 have nothing to do with this story.
It’s silly, really.
This person appears to have been released with no bail, despite being arrested for two simultaneous felonies.
Are you for an end to cash bail?
Posted on 4/12/24 at 5:57 pm to SlowFlowPro
Agreed, his theories were dead on

You really have become one of the worst posters on TD. I remember the good old days when you weren't 100% contrarian. Which conservative poster touched you? Clearly someone screwed up your head because I remember a time when you weren't such a complete bore. Did Rex steal your account?
HHTM touched him/her

Are you for an end to cash bail?
No, actually, because it can get very draconian like the federal system. If you get denied in that system, that's basically it (like the J6ers).
I'm for consistent and low bonds and reliance on methods other than bail that have shown to produce better rates of missed court than bail itself.

You were arguing in the other thread for getting rid of the police altogether

Possessing a gun with that modification is illegal. That's reality. My policy preference is that it shouldn't be.
But it is. And let’s not forget about the car theft, Mr. Strict Property Rights Enforcement Guy.

He was also charged at that time with two stolen vehicles and having a programming device commonly used to steal cars, Davis said, and was released without bond.
How is zero bail defensible in that situation?
