No. Only know a couple ones that people talk about. Never seen a fight. Watched a little WCW and Deep South as a kid.

No. Wait. Does an older bulldog who just wants to be a lap dog and scared of thunder count?

No. Always rifled hunted, but haven’t in probably 20 years. Work got in the way and I just never picked it back up once I was able too

Sorry for the life story. You asked.

My friend is a warden and he said the whole “tattoo” thing started in prison so the inmates could identify who was “down”

BS. People under 40 with taste and judgement frown upon it. You know what else might be less frowned upon by those under 40?

TBH it’s increasingly a self selecting thing.

So many people have tattoos that being un-tattoed is a shortcut to more affluent, well-bred people. It’s not universal that tatted people aren’t, or that non people are those things, but the correlation is pretty strong for those without at this point.

That said - it’s regional too. In my area you will very rarely find a 20s something wholesome female from a good family, etc. with tattoos. But i have met somewhat surprisingly normal women like that with tattoos from elsewhere.

Guess you wonder what happens when you get older?

Seriously, within reason, I don't mind them. In fact, I keep thinking I'll get one one day. Not a large skull or anything like that.

My husband has some old ones. They’re not that big of a deal, and I forget he has them.

Trendy you say? Well this is a trend that has been going on since almost 3400BC

Something can be around for thousands of years and still be trendy at different periods as well as still being around when the trend ends. However, I am not so sure about tattoos.

When I was young a tattoo generally meant one of three things, you you served in the military at some point, you were a biker or member of some shady (by normal society standards) group, or you had been in prison. There was a societal stigma to tattoos that does not seem to exist now.

The OT is full of fat dudes who think a button down shirt with a tie and "good jeans" is dressing up for a wedding. I wouldn't put too much stock into what this place thinks

idk. a lot of young professional women/former srat girl types in Dallas had a tiny tattoo or two on their wrist, ankle, etc.

The thigh tat on girls is pretty new.

i hate thigh tats so much (all of them really, but especially on the thigh). it's like a 3 point deduction on the 10 point scale.

This.

Also, it essentially improves nothing.

Scruffy has never heard anyone ever say, “she would be perfect if only she had a tattoo”.

The opposite? Scruffy has heard that many times.

Point deduction almost solely because anyone who does that is clearly trying to be unique…by being exactly the same as everyone else.

Tattoos are a sign of narcissism. "Ooh look at me, look at my tattoos"

They are the bumper sticker of the human body.

And trashy folks love to justify it with bs like "this one means a lot to me, I was going through some really tough times in life, and this has meaning and stuff"

Trashy.

I saw a young woman walking into Walmart the other day that was insanely hot.She had on tight work out shorts, short sleeve tight shirt.Fabulous body, beautiful hair and face.
But she had full sleeve tattoos both arms and legs, looked awful.I’ve never seen anything like it in real life, only in magazines.

Then you see these young couples in Walmart with a small baby or a couple young kids and they don’t look very prosperous. Both of them will have all these tattoos all on their arms and legs.I just know they have better things to spend money on than tattoos.

Almost assuredly, they also believe that they should have their student loans forgiven.

I don't hate tattoos in the least. Don't have any. My father did but was in the military. I'm old and spent most of my life in the "privileged" conservative bubble of working for big companies. Most of the people I hung out with were ambitious suburbanites and tattoo life was not part of it.

Was at the bar with my younger wife (one tat from her teen years, no pics) listening to some excellent rockabillly last weekend and met this 30's couple from France. Nice people, were here buying up old estate finds for their antique store in Paris. Covered w tats. Both wore goofy Buddy Holly style glasses. My wife and I wondered if they realized that with all the money they spent on tats they could have gotten lasic.

All I got.
