Yeah no problem! Like I said, there’s always exceptions to the rule.

I’m not sure what your age is but as a man who is over 47 years old, there’s no way that I would sit down with a financial advisor (or any professional I am considering to use) that has tattoos across their face or up their neck or on their hands as I sit down in the business meeting with them because to me, not to speak for everyone here, but to ME they look like they are insane or very unstable.

People judge by appearances whether it is right or wrong.

Now the issue of having the nastiest most judgmental people go to church every Sunday… Yes, I can agree with you there, but that doesn’t have anything to do with tattoos so we can defer that conversation to a different time.

So you're saying that because more people than ever are doing it, a "trend" dating back to 3400 BC (almost 5400 years ago) is going to end NOW...

Seems logical

Tattoos on the OT are like many other topics… clothing, etc. Posters here have low self-esteems so they take every opportunity to bash others because subconsciously it makes them feel better about themselves.

I'm 42. I agree 100% with that. But most, I guess the word is "white collar" jobs, you don't see that. I've had 2 jobs in my life. I was a millwright/maintenance and now I'm a production operator. We got a couple knuckle heads that I sometimes question, and may not be the brightest with technology, but they're reliable and work their asses off.

All my tattoos I got for myself. Personal reasons. Also they are all in a place that can be hidden. If I have pants on and a normal short sleeve shirt you can't see them. I did that because they are for me. Now I did go to a company cook out at a co-workers house and they had a pool. Lol did get a couple questions about my calf tattoos when I showed up, then when I took my shirt off some eyes got big lol.

Just curious I guess why the hate?
because it's distractingly disgusting body mutilation that is offensively unattractive.

In layman's terms: "ewwwwww!"

Seems like any thread comes up and its a tattoo, its frowned upon.

It’s not frowned upon. It’s basically just a public indicator that you make bad decisions.

I
quote:

You just said it - even someone with multiple tats knows there is a line to be drawn (intended), and that they can become trashy.

I don’t hate on tats, and I don’t hate on fats. But both appearances provide information about decision making and impulse control. I think the people that pull off tats are the ones that are actually aware of this.

Oh it doesn't hurt my feelings or anything lol. Just seems every time a thread involves a woman that has tattoos, some of these people wanna set her on fire. Like she personally offended them.

This thread isn’t going that way.

I just find them ugly. And if you see ones people got when they were young, those are faded now.

The thigh tat on girls is pretty new.

You go out to eat in a college town and all the waitresses have them.

That wasnt a thing when I was in college.

That’s a trend.

Getting/having tattoos is different than what they'd do, and nothing annoys the OT baw more than that.

Also, I think having tattoos has been coded as liberal, so you have red team reacting to them emotionally as well.

The thigh tat took the place of tramp stamps. It’s a trend for sure.

Look at the tramp stamps that are 25 years old. You can’t make me believe they are attractive , they look like shite.
