How does anyone sitting on the bench get better if they never get to play. Why have someone if you don't think they can help the program. Why take a player if you don't know she can help. Never could understand why if you are winning by 30 points not insert the bench to see what they can do. We don't know what the bench could do by playing for 2 minutes.

I agree for the most part. However, in the 2004-05 seasons Temeka Johnson was the starting point guard, and the best in the SEC. Erica White got about 6 mpg. However, the next year she was an EXCELLENT point guard, even with the limited playing time. So, it defintely can happen.

Yep. No doubt the writer threw a bit of a veiled jab at Mulkey and LSU: “Expect a LONG line of suitors for this 4 star PG!”

The impression he wants to leave with the casuals is that she is a great player leaving because of the program, not because, as likely, she was processed.

Yep. That LONG LINE of suitors will be: SELA, Missouri State, McNeese, Georgia Southern, etc etc.

1. I wish Angelica Velez good fortune going forward.

2. ADR (Del Rosario) made a 50% improvement from November to March. CKM says over and over you cannot coach height. ADR will always be 6'5.5" and her skill set can be coached. She has a soft touch shot inside which can be developed. She is already in much better shape than she was in September/October. She needs some kind of program like Smith used in the summer of 2023 when she stayed in BR and worked out a lot. Sa'Mayah improved 100% by Nov, 2023 compared to when she got to LSU.

3. I will be curious to see how Jada Richard (PG from Lafayette) plays in a back-up role.

LSUWBB has a bigtime nucleus of talent in Morrow, Johnson, Smith, and Williams. Poa can handle her part, IMO. JUst need a couple more kids to make us a FF contender in 2025.

We need Fulwhiley, from South Carolina, to hit the portal and come to LSU. That girl will be the best college guard for the next 3 years. Unfortunately, she is from South Carolina and will never leave Dawn Staley.

What am I missing here? I watched every game. ADR is not good.

Yes, ADR is a work in progress, but has improved 100% from Day One to the NCAAT. If you really watched every game, you'll remember when she lead the entire team in scoring with 27 points & 10 reb dbl-dbl vs McNeese, so she's flashed what could be with more reps/experience/body-conditioning. Towards the end, her height alone consistently garnered crucial blocks & rebs when Angel was sitting . But she still has a long way to go.

As far as Velez goes, after watching all of her ankle-breaking moves & sweet passes pre-LSU/All-Star Games, I really projected she'd earn quality minutes. But it seemed like everytime she got in, she looked like a walk-on as her handle was clunky, her passes became dumb turnovers & her shots were clankers. Unfortunately, I saw why she was sitting.

We have the 6'5" girl from Arkansas, Jersey Wolfenbarger, coming in. She does seem more like a 4 than a 5 but she probably could function there.

She’s neither a 4 or a 5. She plays the 2 and 3 spot. Mainly the 2

Is that the chick that always causes me to do a double take and drop my cocktail due to thinking that Jose Alvarado is wearing an LSU women’s basketball uniform?

If so, am glad she’s gone. my liquor cabinet will be grateful.

I went to most of the home games this year; her improvement from day 1 to the end of the season was significant.

I expect her to make a huge jump from her freshman year to her sophomore year.

Her size alone can help the team.

People need to remember ADR was hurt during the summer and didn't really get to participate in a lot of the offseason practice and conditioning. She made a ton of improvement bewteen Novemeber and the end of the season.

True, on offense. Definitely stayed on the perimeter wing behind the 3pt line. She was a 5-6 guard who grew to 6-5 in one year.

However, on defense, she only guarded post players, Angel or Sa'Myah, in 2023 Ark-LSU game. Still she needs to become more aggressive with that new-found length advantage.

Yeah, I should have said 3 instead of 4. The height makes me think 4/5 but that is not how she plays from what I have read.

ADR was very useful coming off the bench as a defender and rebounder. I'm sure her offensive game will continue to evolve.

She’s a fouling machine.
She’s slow and has stones for hands.
If we are relying on ADR as our full time starting big, LSU is going to be in some trouble.

Some of yall need to chill, LSU is not gonna make Rosario their full time starter at center next year. They will bring in a transfer, Rosario will slowly expand her role, it’s gonna be her junior year where I really think she starts to peak

The offseason is where you truly get to do a lot of individual development , not so much in a middle of a season, and Rosario was out the entire summer after coming to lsu and getting her ankle/foot fixed

You know full well the rant is littered with athletic trainers, mental health experts, and men with much more basketball knowledge than Mulkey. There is no chill for them.

Have to agree Rosario was a turnover waiting to happen with stone cold hands: Hope she can improve her game because right now I don’t think she is the answer to replace Angel
