Clark is a star so she gets her calls, but she free arms and pushes off non-stop.

Technically the right call. Watch her slide into to screen. Not set.

Both legs are extended about 2-3 feet outside her body, and she moves into her left leg as she’s making contact with the defender. I honestly think if the announcers did their job and pointed out the most egregious parts of the moving screen, people wouldn’t be so upset.

Correct call, not even debatable.

Was it called as it should. Or conveniently called.

You can argue whether it should or shouldn’t be called based on the series of events and where and how tight the game was, but it was a definitional foul.

I don’t mind “you can’t call that at that point in the game” but pretending it wasn’t a foul is asinine.

I hate the idea that you call the game differently at the end of a game. If it's a foul in the beginning it's a foul at the end.

It was bullshite, but at this point I hope they keep giving games to Iowa and Iowa wins it all. When they lose Clark, they will fade away into obscurity. Really don’t want Staley getting another championship at SC and guaranteeing that they keep rolling

Literally one of the worst takes of the night.

None of us cares who won so we can call it true, that was a bad call in the moment. That was a total flop, rewarded by a bad call.

Btw, where did all of you Buckeyes assholes come from tonight? Shouldn't you be preparing to choke another football season or something?

Do you have an issue accurately describing what happened?

If you had actually read or understood my post, you would have realized I was talking about the blatant aspects of the foul not the contact up top (which alone was still a foul, but not the most egregious part).Hint: you can’t do the splits, and then do the electric slide:
quote:

“An offensive screener must have his legs no wider than shoulder width apart, and he may not extend his legs outside the vertical plane of his body when setting a screen.”

I’ve posted here for nearly 10 years.

I’m preparing by arguing with goofballs on the internet, since I don’t actually play college football.

Can't really disagree with that either. USCe in general and Staley in particular are hardly sympathetic figures. frick 'em.

you CANNOT make that call right there.

Why not?

If that happens in the middle of the 2nd qtr is it a foul?

That absolutely WAS a moving screen. No question.

And replays on ESPM are showing bad angles to argue the opposite. The UConn player jumps into Bueker's defender on the screen with an elbow on a play designed to take the last shot for Beuker. Why should that call be a controversy? SVP is just playing to the crowd and ESPN is doing their shtick.

That illegal screen was

Illegal.

Screener must be planted. She was moving. The offensive player receiving the screen needed to wait a count to let her get set.

Screener leaned into defender from the side. It was the proper call.

For those who say that officials should swallow their whistles during crunch time, then you should support removing all officials from the field of play during crunch time and let the players only decide the game. Right?

It was an atrocious call. Iowa may have won anyway but you have to let them play that out.

Anyone who thinks it should have been called has some sort of Iowa bias or has just never played basketball.

lol. It’s literally called a moving screen. You can’t post a photo, which btw has her leg FULLY extended making it illegal, and see a moving screen.

Not only was she moving with her leg extended, she absolutely elbowed also. It was a textbook screen foul.

It’s not always called in that situation, but you can’t be upset it was called
