Like long AIDS? Long polio? Long flu?

Or is it you just have AIDS, polio and the flu and COVID is the only unique disease where you can get Long COVID from COVID?

Are there clinical test for Long COVID?

Nothing that I know of as “long”.

I was told that you can go ahead and get chicken pox out of the way…..right? I suppose now that the virus hangs out dormant in the body.

I went with my brother to talk to a kid that had cpox and bam, we “got it over with”. It didn’t suck.

But are we now open to shingles? They want me to vax for that too.

Who the hell knows. But I guess I now have long chicken pox.

Long Covid is a myth imo. I believe those that are vaxxed and especially boosted have compromised their immune system and are now getting sick easier. I have seen several people battling mysterious sinus and respiratory problems and coincidentally they all took the vaccine.

Ever had a cold/flu or other respiratory crud that, weeks later you remember yourself saying you just can't seem to shake it? Your answer is "Yes". Overwhelming majority of people have zero understanding of how their body works and what the long-term effects of diseases, even simple colds, can be.

No, just the use of the adjective to describe the next phase of a disease. It's the first time I've heard of "long" begin used to describe what I guess is the second phase of COVID. Should have google it to see if there is a clinical definition of long COVID.

Long covid is the excuse fats use when they're out of breath after climbing a flight of stairs because they don't want to take responsibility.

I have a pharmacist friend who has had Lyme Disease symptoms for decades.. If there were a way to make it better, she would have found it.

Yeah, but we just say, "I can't seem to shake this cold". We don't say we have "long cold".

They usually call that emphysema, COPD or lung cancer. "Long" is an unnecessary adjective.

You can bet it isn’t by mistake. What exactly is behind it? My guess is it’s a simple marketing mechanism towards those prone to victim hood

Of course there are.

Also, remember when we used to have hypochondriacs? Where have they all gone? To the doctor, with long covid.
