Seems many of the Auto transmissions today especially GM have had issues. That got me wondering are any newer trucks today offered in a manual transmission.

While obviously not a truck, im pretty sure you can still special order a Jeep Wrangler with a manual transmission .. i honestly cant believe ive lived long enough to see a time when a stick shift needs to be ‘special ordered .’

Sigh.

I'm holding on to my 1998 Dodge 2500 5.9L Cummins Diesel 5-speed.

Tacoma, but it's only one spec of the truck. 99% of 2024 vehicles are autos now, which is dumb. I had a 03 Ranger with a manual that was an absolute blast to drive.

I bet less than 1/4 of the registered users here know how to drive a stick shift. First ride was a 3 on the tree

I’m in the market. Told them must have an actual key to turn the ignition. Not looking for a key fob who spends every second of its life blasting a constant signal. Stupidest thing ever, who wants that in their front pocket?

Tractors not trucks but just bought 9 Mack trucks and took a tour of their plant.

Technically, they offer one version that is truly manual. Even more technical, their auto transmission tractors gear like the are manual.

Hard to find a manual tractor driver under 30 now.

Also, took their battery truck on the test track. $600k bag of shite.

I had an aunt that always drove manual transmission vehicles when I was growing up. I always thought that looked like a lot of work.
