I'm assuming that the sites are already predetermined? Since Florida is #4 and hosting their own regional. New LSU Arena can't get here soon enough.

No idea how gymnastics works, but how does the #4 seed host and the #2 seed travel?

Why isn't LSU hosting, since we're #2?
Facilities suck?

Lsu is hosting in '26.
Hosting is figured out a fee years in advance. There are probably a few reasons for this. Facilities not being one of them. LSU's facilities are more than fine for gymnastics and LSU draws the second highest average crowd.

Sites are picked a year or 2 in advance.

Yeah, then maybe they could have attendance of over 12,000, right?

I don’t understand why the top seeds can’t host each year. Why must this be planned out a year or more in advance?

Not saying this isn't true, but it doesn't have anything to do with it.
They should be able to get out of that region fairly easily. Kentucky is really really good but should be able to beat out the rest of the region with relative ease.
This is our year, LFG.

Is Livvy competing or is she still hurt? Haven't seen the last few meets.

The arrangement with the developer needs to allow LSU to host championship events such as this no matter what.

What place do they have to come in? If it’s top 2, that seems like a difficult draw.

They have to finish in the Top 2 in the evening session against Minnesota and Oregon St plus either Boise St or BYU. LSU has scored 197.95 in all 6 meets since February 9th and hasn’t scored lower than 197.625 since the beginning of the season and season. Minnesota’s season high is 197.725 and second best is 197.525. Oregon St’s season best is only 197.575 and that was 2 months ago. Their last 2 meets have been below 197. Both teams would have to meet or beat their season highs and LSU have their worst meet since Week 2 for LSU not to make it to the Regional Finals.
There they will have to face the top 2 from the other session, probably Kentucky and Arkansas. Again, they just need to finish top 2. LSU defeated both teams at home and in the SEC Championships. Kentucky is a tough team with a season high of 198.1 (but lower than LSU’s NQS of 198.215) though they scored only 197.6 at the SECs. Arkansas also scored 198.1 at home a week ago, but only 197.05 at the SECs. Their second best is 197.65. Both are capable of putting up a good score, but have not done it as consistently (or as high) as LSU. LSU will need to have a good session, but 198+ should be enough.

Thank goodness we have Livvy to put the team on her back and will us to win. Her millions of female only fans are inspired to be better because of her influence. Be Great Livvy
