I’m not sure how Kirby Smart fits into this discussion, but I’m with you on the point you’re trying to make. Across the board, this roster is 100% better and moving in the right direction.

Getting back to the ship was never going to happen as fast as we wanted, but this loss after how the last couple years openers went is what is most infuriating

Do we throw the ball downfield?

I not only don’t recall a 20yd completion, but I don’t recall an attempted throw 20+ yards downfield.

Nuss had an accurate game, but wasn’t the gunslinger I anticipated from an explosive play standpoint

What?!? Like July 2023 or last month?

My sons would see him at the gym in Morgan City. One just told me he talked to coach for a little bit 2-3 weeks ago. Always checking up on the kids going to LSU.

Shared lots of stories with him about the Tigers and his son coaching with the Bengals. That man loved life, loved his family, and loved football. Will be missed, but thankful for the many conversations I was able to share with him!

Damnit. I knew Coach and wanted to text him last week to check on him. Kicking myself for getting side tracked and not hitting send now even if he couldn’t have responded.

RIP Coach

You know Loomis won’t draft a QB for the next 3-4 years praying that Rattler is his savior. He’ll stock up on lineman, totally miss on a few, and get us back to middle of the draft before realizing a QB is necessary.

Just a generational thing.

No doubt. Jordan is my all-time #1, but I also never saw Magic or Kareem or Wilt play to truly compare and know. We all know that highlights only tell half the story

If other teams offers are truly shite and we don’t trade him, Griff needs to go ahead and offer Ingram a 1+1 or 2+1 extension with 8% raises from his current salary as the max offer we give. That would put him at 24-25: $36,016,200 25-26: $38,897,496 26-27: $42,009,295 27-28: $45,370,039 (PO) That gives him a 3 year 126 extension, which is pretty close to what Mitchell got. It gives him time to rehab his value, and puts him on a longer term deal that will be more attractive for other teams to trade for as it would be below 25% of the cap moving forward. Also gets him past 10 years where his next contract could be a 35% supermax if a team wants to pay him that much. Kind of a win win for both teams

I’d rather let him walk over cash strapping us to him for another few years if no team will give an ounce for him

Can’t believe that lemon head mother fricker is still in the league.

He’s still in the league because he basically pretended to be injured for the 3-4 years he was here and just saved his legs for the next team

Murray gives me peace

We have been missing a floor general for years that truly puts stress on a defense at every level. Despite all these other teams getting better in division, Murray moves the needle for us moreso than any other signing IMO.

Why is everyone suddenly melting? lol

Not melting, but 4 top 10 picks are in our division. 2 of them team up with Wemby, one with Morant, and one on the Rockets who gave us absolute fits to end the year

We better be careful

Or we’ll be at the bottom of the Southwest in short order.

Everyone else will be much better next year

Just because he may be demanding a max and thinks he's worth it, doesn't mean anyone else in the league does.

Whoever he is traded to does. They not dealing for him to watch him walk knowing this
As a max contact player, this means you’re one of the best 60ish players in the league assuming each team can have 2.

So if he’s going to get a max or close to a max deal from someone, then why are we having discussions of sending other players and picks to trade him away.

Meanwhile, Bridges value just said he was worth several years of first round picks. Surely BI is worth something more than a player swap and shouldn’t warrant us getting rid of more assets to deal him right?

I’m a PT and a fitness minded PT at that. But let me give you the 101 when it comes to back pain and chiros vs. PTs.

1. Back Pain: ALL back pain is multifaceted. If someone tells you there’s one thing causing your pain, then go find another provider. Full spine mobility (thoracic and lumbar), hip mobility, core strength, hip strength, movement analysis and a determination of your fitness capacity all need to be taken into account when treating back pain. For long term relief. Otherwise, all treatments by chiros, PTs, physicians, etc are putting short term bandaids on a larger issue. Keep getting band aids and you’ll deal with a progressively worsening condition during your lifetime.

2. Chiro vs PT
- Chiro: there are some great fitness minded chiros. They will do adjustments in addition to addressing your physical limitations from a mobility, strength and functional standpoint. Use those if you’d like.

There are A LOT of chiros that are used car salesmen telling your that your spine is out of line and that they can fix it by cracking your back. They are full of sh&t. If you have string holding up a tree it won’t fall over. You can push the tree and the rope/string will pull it right back. No different won’t spine that is supported by ligaments/musculature. Stay away from these practictioners. They’ll steal your money and expect you to be a forever patient for continual bandaids.

-PTs: there are lots of PTs that don’t play golf, don’t play sports and don’t regularly strength train. Don’t see them bc how can they give you recommendations if they have no experience. Everything is a guess. That’s like going to a neurological PT for an orthopedic issue. They just won’t know what to do.

PTs also can manipulate/adjust your spine. Go to the PT that had great skills to manipulate you, exercise you, and develop a plan that fits what you want to get back to doing and not some generic BS seen in every clinic on every corner

With the load of transfers in and the exodus of players out, what’s the general consensus on how chemistry, expectations of the program, and familiarity play a role in the teams performance on the field?

We had a lot of turnover after last year in addition to Skenes/Crews/Morgan leaving and it just seemed to take us a while to figure it out this year. Hoping the turnover doesn’t create a similar issue moving forward.

Did you read my post. I said, when are we going to get the type of guys that we KNOW can do it versus the “little used guys” that pitch out of their mind
