The whole head stomping thing is so feral and animalistic. And cowardly.

And based on the amount of fight videos I’ve watched on WorldStar, stereotypical.

you assume drunk people think logically.

you know about aggressive drunks, so you combine aggressive drunks with other aggressive drunks and this is the outcome

26 hanging out in tigerland Jfc

Big sports weekend, Fred’s golf invitational and a bachelor party. Nothing out of the norm for going to hang out there after a game. I still do it 2-3x a year after football games if I’m in town. Fred’s normally has an older demographic that shows up after these events. Guess you think he should’ve been at Walk On’s, a bar under the overpass or gone straight home so he wouldn’t have been jumped and killed leaving.

I was told by a worker that this married man started the argument and the group he was messing with got kicked out and waited for him outside

I played in it. I’ve never played on a worse course in my life. The LSU course makes Webb and city park look like Augusta.

It’s god awful, but I’ve never met anyone that plays that tournament seriously. It’s just a good day to have with the boys.

Better question is why a young married man is getting in a bar fight that escalated so far he got curb stomped.

Unless these guys just misidentified the group then it’s likely both sides could have pulled back and neither did.

It sucks but sometimes you make choices and choices have consequences.

I got a notification on my phone that the guy passed away. This is so sad.

Nothing new in the article.

BATON ROUGE - A man died after a fight took place early Saturday morning at Fred's in Tigerland, police said Monday.

Family members of the man injured in a fight outside Fred's just after 1 a.m. said the man died from his injuries.

Posts on social media suggested two groups met each other outside of the bar after being kicked out. It was unclear what started the fight, but the man was critically injured.

While no charges were initially filed, the Baton Rouge Police Department said it was seeking to press charges against those involved. It was not immediately clear what charges would be pursued.

I’m surprised 8 pages in we don’t have what the original spark was to the parking lot fight.

Was it some guy flirting with an another guys girl? A drink getting spilled on someone?

Makes sense. You don’t deserve to die for that, but putting yourself into those situations just make no sense to me

So he started it and they kicked the other people out?

I've never been to Fred's but do they have either police detail working the area or on duty officers?

Usually cops set up in the median in Tigerland between all the bars. Don't know if they do anything besides hand out MIPs.

Do other SEC college bar areas have similar death tolls as Tigerland?

Yes this literally what any man over 25 should do. Sorry you’re a washed up loser at Fred’s

That does seem weird but I guess his group could have started it and the others pushed it further and they got sent for it.

Kira’s article says it was 1 punch

Credible sources confirm to UWK that Repath was punched one time while outside of Fred’s in the parking lot knocking him to the ground. That fall is what is suspected of leading to the traumatic brain injury.
