Does the south realize it’s the minimum?

I see threads on here all the time bashing other states and cities. Does Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama. and other southern states realize they rank last in every major positive category? Do you realize you live in a shithole and nobody will ever take your advice. Muuuuhhhh Trump is King.
Look in the mirror time. I’m sure New York and California really want the opinion of the bottom dwellers.

Ok cool. You can have your rankings, that's fine by me.
But my state and people got one thing right- our sons aren't chopping their dicks off and wearing dresses.
If that's what being progressive and ranked high gets you then call me a backwoods redneck southern trash.
But you sure as hell won't call me a father of a "they/them"
But yeah I'm sure it's amazing in Austin with all of the homeless literring the streets, you guys sure do have it figured out. You guys for sure aren't going to turn into shite hole like every other "high ranking" city.

You guys see Dallas's mayor cheated on his wife and gave his mistress over 100k in donations lol?

what an odd thing to wake up and feel the need to opine on broadly to a group of strangers. I’m sure casting shade on others to make yourself feel good is a great way to live life.
More specifically on topic, I’ve lived in a few places with much higher rankings, and I have not found the ranks reflective of reality. I find it a silly concept to outsource my view of happiness to someone running a ranking model that isn’t reflective of my priorities.

Its an interesting balance. Yes LA is collectively a shithole but my personal situation is as good as I would likely experience in any other town in the south.
My kids are in a good public school, well above average in the state. I own a home and property that would cost twice as much in some other states, and I have access to fishing and hunting opportunities that people in other states have to invest a lot more money to achieve.
So generally speaking, as long as I stay out of Orleans Parish, North Baton Rouge and make sure I have plenty of gas before I pass through Shreveport, my personal experience living in LA has been great. I do however make sure my kids know there are better opportunities for 20 somethings in other states.

I always get a kick out out of the folks on here that live in Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, etc. calling other places shitholes
