Exactly. The only pressure the dems can put on Johnson (outside of character attacks from the intelligence community) is the threat of shutting down the government. Well, as Johnson is MAGA through and through, I don't think limiting the federal government is going to be impactful to him at all.
So what leverage does Schumer and crew have? People are already over the Ukraine war, sentiment has shifted (why do you think Navalny was killed?). So what leverage does the other side have exactly?

A "solution"? Will Biden sign that bill into law?
It doesn't matter. He could refuse to sign a clean immigration bill at he and his party's own peril.

Based on what, exactly?
A 1% across the board cut goes into effect April 30 if both sides don't pass all funding bills or an omnibus.

I’m not sure this exists in general and certainly not on the issue of Ukraine.

So....the GOP gets blamed for everything from the MSM. The problem for the MSM is no one trust a GD thing they say anymore. You have the handful of loyal Libtards that watch MSNBC, CNN, etc.. You are not going to change their minds either way. The independents loathe the MSM overwhelmingly. Who gives a shite who they try to blame. Everyone knows who is to blame here and it does not take the MSM to tell them.

exactly, frick the tyranny of the minority. Who cares about the MSM. You'll never win playing that game.

No. The MEDIA is attempting to blame republicans (like it ALWAYS does), but Americans clearly don't share that sentiment. There's no escaping the immigration issue for democrats. They don't get to demand a porky-pig war bill while they refuse to enforce standing law, tear down effective EOs by the previous regime, and actively sue states for doing their jobs for them.
The idea that holding the line on your single strongest political issue is going to cost you the House is as fricking dumb on page 5 as it was on page 2.

Unless they can spin it and blame Republicans, which is just starting.
If the government gets shut down, that is going to be repeated every news cast (we had a deal that the Republicans crafted, and they said no) during the shutdown.

Welcome to every day for the past 25 years. The polling is clear on this. You can keep repeating it over and over again and it'll still be stupid.
Are you also clutching your pearls over recent efforts by dems and their kept media to paint Trump as the one with dementia? LOL

Let them try to do so. Again, Johnson is a principled man. It would be worse for him and the country if he bowed to political pressure to sign a deal that hurts, him, the party and the country. As Sierra Ferrell would say, "Give it tiiiiime"

In the past you would have a point. Look at the publics opinion on the MSM (there are many poles that show a large majority do not trust/believe them). No one other than Libtards listen/believe their shite anymore.

Johnson gets hammered either way. When this bill does exactly NOTHING to fix the border, and we all know it won’t, they’ll blame Johnson and Republicans for it.
The days of getting small strategic wins with healthy give and take are over. There’s nothing to do but stand and fight.

The polling is clear that immigration is becoming a more important issue.
The polling does not indicate that the population is only blaming the DEMs for this issue.

Tell that to the southside of Chicago kid. Dem cities are pissed and that's fine to point at a kicked ant hill. It should be the number one issue for both sides and then solutions can be heard and the populace will vote which is the best.

I just linked a poll from Gallup showing it is now THE political issue, and voters are blaming Biden, whose approval now sits in the 20’s.
And don’t think we didn’t notice your little word play here. No one believes the population is ONLY blaming one party for anything. This is a strong issue for republicans.
You don’t need to die on this hill, but if we must…

What Johnson should have done is walked out the room and told them all that nothing happens until I say it happens. He has to take the power from them by letting them know he knows he has the power.
