Me saying there are only 5-10 Congressmen who are Patriots is a fact.

You are the one who claimed that Patriots are the majority of the entire country

If MAGA is so popular, why can't they win a single Senate seat?

You're such a douche lately it's unbelievable.

We basically have 1 party rule without any opposition to the current establishment policies. Winning elections is the not the point of politics. Newsflash.

If they weren't real, the GOP would control all 3 branches.

When has the GOP opposed the growth of government? Sometimes you own yourself better than anybody on this board could.

Because the traditional GOP, which is palatable to about 42-43% of the country, is bad at politics.

Letting a splinter group that hurts the GOP nationally, try to run the party, makes them worse at politics.

Well that's completely not responsive to what you quoted, or what that quote, was responding to.

Even then, MAGA doesn't oppose the growth of government, either.

If I’m speaker, I counter with “once we have secured our own border, then we can talk about Ukraine, Israel and anything else you want to discuss. But, I won’t move anything else forward without securing our border.”

It is crystal clear to me and the majority of this board. This is another example of "SFP thinks that he is in the majority". SFP reminds me of a bipolar person. Bipolar people think that they are mentally stable and everyone else has lost there minds. They are incapable of seeing the truth.

Johnson should not agree to anything until the Democrats agree to remain in Mexico at a minimum. No need to even meet with them unless and until that is agreed upon.

I would add " you want funding for Ukraine/Israel etc., fine, offset that spending with real cuts elsewhere"...end of story.

This isn't that complicated. The GOP is in a major position of weakness, and Patriots are making it even weaker by creating splinter divisions within the House.

Jeffries is quite possibly the dumbest person in Congress. I think AOC has a higher IQ

Lets just break this logic down for the folks in Rio Linda.

Your recommendation for republicans is to give into Chuck Schumer on foreverwar funding, because Republican voters will ultimately blame republicans for the border crisis? And as long as we give democrats what they want, republican voters will he happy and we can occasionally win a house of congress where the republican party will continue to do the bidding of democrats in order to maintain this "power".

You should go back to your shitty university and ask for your mother's money back.

we cant have an honest conversation about this if you are going to pretend like "Maga" (whateverthefrick you think that is) "lost" in 2020. Republicans were snowed the frick over by harvested votes. It had very little to do with a distaste "Maga".

What? No.

I think I know what the majority is. I am not part of that, though.

we need to stop whining and start sending emails showing support to Johnson and our own rep/sen telling them to support shutting the border down.

I said negotiate the best deal possible.

You're creating this specific strawman arguments.

quote:

because Republican voters will ultimately blame republicans for the border crisis?

That's a different argument and stated incorrectly.

quote:

And as long as we give democrats what they want, republican voters will he happy and we can occasionally win a house of congress where the republican party will continue to do the bidding of democrats in order to maintain this "power".

You're really leaning into these strawman arguments.

quote:

we cant have an honest conversation about this if you are going to pretend like "Maga" (whateverthefrick you think that is) "lost" in 2020.

I'm talking about 2016, 2018, 2020, and 2022.

Perhaps this is why he was chosen. By all accounts, the man doesn't seem to have any skeletons in the closet. Certainly nothing like his three opponents. If the debate can be held on the merits and not with threats, I think Johnson will hold fast to his principles and not back down.
