What about this:

The Senate and Presidency are safely controlled by Democrats, and the House is barely controlled by the GOP.

Does not reflect reality?

We've already beat this to death in other threads, but who gives a frick?

They always hurt the GOP because they always cave. If they held fast and won at the end, perhaps the narrative would change.

Slapping down the MIC is worth some bad publicity.

This is where you separate men from boys as Johnson’s abilities better shine going up against A legit idiot like Jeffries, an old weak minded McConnell , a punk like Schumer and whoever is WH pressure cooker.

Unfournately this is the only way I think aid will eventually get passed and we will never get another chance at immigration reform because dems won't pass it under a republican president

Immigration reform = amnesty.

Trump has all he needs to close thr border. Does not need a "deal".

This isn't that complicated. The GOP is in a major position of weakness, and Patriots are making it even weaker by creating splinter divisions within the House.

This does not reflect reality. Division is needed to replace the fricken RINO's. Your status quo idea of folding is for pussies. Grow some damn balls. I and most here see that you are the most educated out of touch with reality poster here. If contradictionism was popular you would be a star. Alas it is not.

You literally said what I said. You are promoting a splinter that you call a division, to hurt the GOP, which you call RINOS.

muh fight

I prefer negotiating and getting something as opposed to getting nothing other than virtue signaling. You're promoting virtue signaling and nothing more. You can't win this fight but you can pretend that by losing and not admitting your weakness, you can become a martyr.

How are you winning when you're promoting the marginalization of the opposition to Democrats? Is Democrat rule your goal? Winning? How?

Negotiating is your cup of tea right? Have you seen what the senate is proposing? How is controlling the power of the purse and saying "yeah that bill is a non starter" virtue signaling? What negotiations would you prefer? How would you move forward if you were the SOTH? Please share with us.

Hate to say it but most folks don't care, they just keep watching CNN or Fox but they might not like that we giving our money away but figure cant do anything about it so oh well. So I can see it will hurt Repubs as Johnson will get the blame if things shut down. I personally would like for him to call the bluff and shut it down. Tried of giving all our money away for nothing and so much to invest in at home.

If I am in an extreme position of weakness, I hope I'm able to negotiate. Terms could just be dictated to me instead.

Because Patriots have no viable plan to pass all 3 branches.

Simply opposing options is virtue signaling. Tell me what viable offers they've made that can pass the Senate and Biden. That is a tactile result.

Get the most you can in a position of extreme weakness that doesn't hurt GOP efforts in November.

How does giving the Democrats all 3 branches help non-Democrats like you and me?

So cave and piss of the majority of conservatives. Great plan chief. Glad you are not SOTH. If Johnson caves on this he is toast.

Libtards have no viable plan to pass all 3 branches either. See how that works. It is virtue signaling when conservatives do it but its not when liberals do it.

"You think that white powder incident last week just happened. Maybe that was just a trial run. You have a nice little church down there. Shame if something happened to it. Especially when your wife is there "

That kind of pressure, or...

"There's a nice little $5 million offshore account and I hold in my hands the number to access it. All you have to do is say yes to this plan."

Which is it, or is it both?

I will never understand why it would be tough to say no. It's what you tan on, it's what voters want, and it's what's best for the country. Voters will take the negative outcome for not passing a loaded bill.
Just say no, and talk out and tell the press what they tried to push on you. Learn to reverse the pressure

This stupid MFer wants us to go back to the days of yellow-bellied capitulating, and rallying around "leaders" like McCain and Romney, because it appeases the establishment.

How out of touch can you possibly be? We are willing to be washed in the blood.

your perspective is essentially:
pubs should just follow along and give the dems what they want because otherwise they would be giving dems what they want.

whats the point in even holding 1 house in the legislative branch if all youre going to do is greenlight the opposition? pubs actually have a solid negotiating spot here if willing to hold out.

That's going to happen, ultimately. You just believe there is some magical path where it won't.

Again, the DEMs have a safe majority in the Senate and the Presidency. They have the power position and will get more in negotiations for this reason.

What does making the GOP weaker do, exactly? Other than running the risk of this hurting them in November, clearly.

Yes, the person providing rational analysis and not promoting "washing in the blood" it the one out of touch
