No, the age of adulthood must be arbitrarily set somewhere. The age to vote, buy alcohol, enter into a contractual agreement, buy a weapon, go to war should be one age. 18.
The problem is universal suffrage and corruption. This may sound bigoted but on average/overall there is a net negative of women and low-IQ people voting. We should acknowledge the facts of nature, including biology and the difference between men and women in their ability to logically and reasonably make decisions rather than decisions based on emotions.
There is no constitutional right to vote. Congress should pass voting restrictions:
- must be legal US citizen
- must have IQ over 85 (this eliminates about 35% of the population)
- must have Y half of 23rd chromosome
- must pass citizenship test and IQ test and acquire license to vote (free of charge paid by the government)
Full auto machine guns, suppressors, and more should be legal for any 18 year old with no more than 1 hour waiting period. Sorry, the constitution says “shall not be infringed”.
Violent criminals should be swiftly given a speedy trial and then executed in public by hanging or crucifixion like the Romans did to Jesus (just kidding, Jesus wasn’t real, but serious about the crucifixion. Bodies of violent criminals should be left hanging on the pole as the carrion birds picked out their eyeballs. Executions should occur in the criminals’ home neighborhoods for all to see.
If we do that, and repeal the 14th, 17th, and 19th amendments, we won’t have a voting problem, a corrupt government problem, a “gun problem”, or jails filled with criminals sucking on the taxpayer teat. Women should have every right a man has, except voting, as they are already represented by the other 50% half of the population that is more capable on average of making rational decisions.

Your suggestion is fair. It’s a slippery slope. I’ll piss off many by bringing this up. Something needs to change, though.

I think test should be given. Something basic like the citizenship test.
Ten questions. Fill it out in the voting booth along with the ballot.
Have vote counting machine score it. If the score is less that 70%, just ignore the vote.

You have a valid point, they have no life experience, done nothing, created nothing. Easily influenced by pop culture and whats socially fashionable at the time. They will also have valid argument, (the sacred right to vote) is being taking away. And if they are old enough to be drafted in the army then they are old enough vote. What u said makes sense and make the country less clown show but its not feasible.
