Chrysler stopped producing them

The irony being the people who drive Dodge Chargers are responsible for voting in the politicians responsible for the death of the muscle car

This project is a great example of when Karens and bike Nazis get the ear of influential politicians. DOTD and the City didn't want the project, they were told to do the project.

They claim they can’t keep up things. But the bike people get money to put little used paths all over the parish..

Btw, I read where the group around the Perkins overpass is getting millions from the parish to build a park. Who is going to keep that up? That nice old lady ftom Keep Tiger Town Beautiful?

A circle at North Blvd and N Foster would facilitate North Blvd access to and from Florida Blvd to create a more streamlined East/West corridor.

I like the road diet with the center turn lane, but do not like the flower beds in the middle

Have to have dividers at some point, otherwise our terrible local drivers will end up preventing actual left turns by passing and driving down the center lane.

Louisiana is too stupid for nice things like uninterrupted center turn lanes.

It would have probably been less money just to add a turn lane to the existing four lanes like it used to be. It takes a special kind of dumbass to think that taking a four lane road and making it a three lane road with one of those lanes used as a turn lane helping traffic flow

Nobody involved wants to absorb the cost involved in that and will sit there pointing fingers until someone comes up with money to do it.

Similar to the parking meter issue in downtown BR up until the contract came through and they put a 2001 monolith on every corner to say you could park anywhere but Europa.

That's a good point. That happens on LA73 in Ascension right now all the time.

Are they turning it over to BREC?

If not - they better put in a taxing district for those local businesses to maintain it.

The flower beds would be better off with something else planted, but lots of cities have these.

Surely there is a landscape architect somewhere that can recommend a slow growing, low maintenance shrub that can be planted instead of annual flowers.

The biggest problem with the medians is that they were built incorrectly. They’re several feet too wide, which is why cars keep destroying them.

I agree that the bike lanes are dumb because there is an existing parallel bike lane one block over on Capital Heights.
They should have done street parking with designated pull-over spots for city busses. Instead, we have this worst of all worlds eyesore.

Love the road diet. Proven success.

City arborist need to do his job better. It can't be that hard to plant plants in a median.

You aren’t the only one that thinks so, they are growing in ditches, right of ways and in cracks in the concrete all over town.
