Damn sure better check that you got the old oil filter o-ring off before you spin that new filter on.
If not, you're gonna get a real-life demonstration of just how good your oil pump really is.

Since I started diving in 1980, I've gone 10k plus miles between oil changes and usually put 250k miles on my rides and never have had any engine problems. My dad did the same before me. This is for normal highway driving.

I changed mine for many years. I know how to do it. I just don't feel like it anymore and it would save me maybe $100/yr.

Take 5 gas become outrageous with pricing. I'm not going there anymore.

Why is Valvoline like $135 when Jiffy Lube is only like $55? Never going to Valvoline again
Valvoline is using Valvoline oil that is more expensive than whatever cheap house brand Jiffy Lube can get their hands on. Most of the stuff those quick lubes advertise isn't actually what is going in your car unless you get them to fill by the quart vs getting whatever is in their bulk tank.

I do my own changes. I use AMSOIL synthetic and change at 7,000 miles.
About 70 to 80 a vehicle.

I freak out to all the people who trust a less than 25y/o who partied all night, got home at 5:00am and at work for 7:00am to work on their Vehicle! LOL

I always use 5W-30 instead of the 0 weight crap. So far no issues and I think it helps keeping all the stuff run by oil pressure in good shape (lifters, cam phasers, etc.).

Jody checked your girl’s oil last night.

I did my own last time, 60 for full synthetic. Damn thing takes 6 quarts. I didn't realize there is this whole new easy system for oil filters, no crazy positions and skinny arms needed. I made a big arse mess because I used a7 gallon pan to get those 6 quarts, but 7 came out of the thing. only on the plastic I laid down, no big deal.

$350, full synthetic every 5,000...turbos require more frequent changes.
