I don't think Gordon takes attempted murder cases...

It wasn’t some random people he was with. The little brother was arrested as well. Definitely seems like some retribution for his sister. Time will tell, but doesn’t look good.

How much money do you think a freshman running back gets paid in NIL? Are you under the impression that it gets paid in a lump sum?

I would say generously he got a $100,000 deal for year, but probably more like $50,000. After taxes and money already spent, he likely can't afford a top-level attempted murder defense, which could run up to $250,000 or more.

Feel free to donate to his GoFundMe if you care that much

The story I heard was these people were threatening to harm his sister. Doesn't excuse it but puts it in some context.

That would maybe matter if the people that were shot were the ones threatening his sister. But when you are so reckless that you end up shooting people who aren't even involved in the incident, you can throw the context out the window imo.

I don't give a shite about him or his legal fees. Just the idea that a kid with a little NIL money can afford to pay for an attorney capable of trying a felony attempted murder charge is laughable.

He will likely get a court-appointed lawyer.

I could be wrong, but I don't think he was saying people should donate to his GoFundMe. I think he was just saying that you believing that Godon would be his attorney or somehow cover his legal fees is dumb.

Holly likely signed a contract which compensates him for the use of his name, image or likeness ("NIL"). Its a fair guess that the value of his NIL is not quite as good today as it was months ago. I haven't seen the contract but if properly written, Holly is prohibited from conducting himself in a manner to harm that NIL value that is being paid for. The contract is likely worthless today.
Gordan is highly unlikely to have been engaged to perform any legal services for Holly related to this charge.

It will come down to how guilty they think he is. They will turn their back on him with the quickness if it looks bad.

the kid has an NIL deal with Gordon McKernan. GoFundMe seems totally unnecessary

Gordon is an ambulance chaser. He’s not representing him or putting up a hundred grand for a retainer

It would be a fricking horrific look if the guy who funded our NIL was a defense attorney on a murder case

Thuggery is why you need lots of RBs on your teams these days.

Not the first and won't be the last.

Seems like he could have been King in a Mardi Gras parade, Spanishtown, really dropped the Ball, that would have kept him busy in town that weekend

I would assume the ballistics match his weapon. Also, this doesn’t need to go to court. Plead out and try and salvage your life.
