If LSU can spend the money pay Tony Bennett whatever he needs to come here. This program needs a complete reset and instill fundamentals, intense defense, offensive sets and team chemistry.

And yes the nicholls loss was bad.. I've never once said it wasn't.
But what I have said multiple times before is that one loss doesn't define this team and that we are better than we showed that game.
Imagine if Ole Miss lost to Detroit Mercy? 1 point win over a winless team is still a major red flag to me.

You do realize that this doesn't happen overnight, right? Rick Barnes has been at Tennessee for 9 years, Bennett has been at UVA for 15 years. It takes time to get the players and install your system and develop chemistry.
McMahon was left with a trash fire and has us winning some games at a historically mediocre program.
There have been some positive signs this year.

Pretty tough to realize that out of all of the SEC programs that were looking for coaches at the same time we were, we seemed to be only one that majorly whiffed.
Gates at Mizzou….made the tournament last year
Paris at USC….will make the tournament this year
Golden at UF….bubble team
Almost two years in and it’s still a foregone conclusion that we won’t even be competitive against the crème de la crème of the conference.
Sorry but the wins over Vanderbilt and a dysfunctional Arkansas just don’t excite me when I know we’ll get run off the floor against Bama, Tenn, Kentucky etc.
McMahon seems like a good dude but he seems to be much better suited to the mid major environment. Nothing wrong with that at all but it looks like he’s out of his element here. There’s talent on this team but it’s not translating to success unfortunately.
