This is great. Since we are basically one Nation anyway.
True. Separate nations have a border between them.

Biden:
1. Advanced manufacturing (semiconductors mostly) embargoes
2. Various sanctions against dozens of Chinese tech companies for aiding Russia
Trump:
1. Financial sanctions limiting investment
2. Huawei embargo
Neither:
1. Chinese economy implosions
2. Rising cost of labor in China because they’re mostly middle class now, leading to labor intensive jobs going elsewhere in SE Asia to supply western world treats at the prices we’re used to
Both:
1. Continued pressure by American governments to stay in line or else
2. Increased investment in Mexico and stronger economic ties between us
You can’t credit either one for this. A strong Mexico (and Central America honestly) has always been the best case for Americans and our biggest blunder of the 20th century was the constant destabilization to the southern hemisphere we did. North America as a whole should be the center of the world but we got greedy and that’s starting to shift towards the eastern hemisphere.

China is bleeding manufacturing to other countries like Vietnam and Cambodia.
How expensive are operations in Vietnam and Cambodia, compared to China?

This is a great thing. Many folks on here wanted to see our dependence on Chinese trade reduced.
I definitely do. But it seems jo we are running into more and more supply chain issues. Shortages everywhere.

This has nothing to do with Biden and was in progress before he ever took office. Mexican labor is cheaper, more skilled, and the supply chain is shorter. This is Business 101.

Positive news. Central America should be our largest trade partners. It’s good for us and good for them.
Posted on 2/7/24 at 8:26 pm to RFK
Ill take it logistically its more profitable and beneficial for both anyway

How much of this can be attributed to Bidenomics?
Not much, policies were put in place long before. I guess inflation has cut peoples' ability to buy consumable shite. Jotato is owned by Chyna

It’s about time! Build more manufacturing facilities, put them to work, reduce the desire to cross the border…

Been happening for years. Very few of the current invasion force are Mexican. Their economy, especially near the border, is good enough for them to stay and work in Mexico now. We're getting the dregs of Central/South America, the Middle East, and Chinese infiltrators.

They are counting the illegal migrants.

Mexico imports $80B from China and then exports to U.S. China just using Mexico to avoid tariffs. Mexico only exports $10B to China. See stats on link. Mexico’s GDP is only $1.4T so importing $80B is huge and not really consumed in Mexico. Just repackaged and sold to US.
