"Truths" that you learned way too late in life

or simply ignored until you couldn't anymore.

For me:

1. People can fake their interest in you, but their disinterest is always sincere.

2. Find someone who makes you laugh and that you like to listen to. You'll talk a lot more than you screw.

3. Just like farming, you have to plant the seeds. Some seeds will grow and some won't, but you still have to plant them.

4. Unfortunately, the most important people in your life can become total strangers overnight. Fortunately, total strangers can become the most important people in your life overnight. This process hurts, but if accepted, it serves to improve the quality of people in your life.

5. The funny thing about getting older is that your eyesight starts getting weaker, but your ability to see through people gets much better.

6. Ignoring the red flags because you want to see the good in people will cost you later.

7. Sometimes you don’t realize how terrible someone treated you, until you’re explaining it to someone else.

8. Spend more time on things that bring you emotional fulfillment and less time on things that cause you emotional pain.

9. Most problems aren’t solved with more thinking, they’re solved with less. You’ll find the answers you’re looking for in silence with a clearer mind. If you can’t solve a problem, stop trying to.

10. Stop focusing on how stressed you are and remember how blessed you are.

There's always going to be some pain, a little sunshine, a little rain ... it doesn't mean that it's not worth it.
