I dont really have that big of a problem with it if he bet on LSU to win and for himself to do well. Kind of dumb and I guess illegal but not the worst.

So serious question...is this going to bring the NCAA sniffing around the program?

Good lord. He was a kid. Maybe a naive and poorly educated kid seduced by the hype of fame, glory and riches promised by the gambling world and society in general.

Of the LSU bets the only one disclosed appears to be he bet on himself and lost. What he did was dumb. Any surprises here?

Let me tell you this is going on everywhere in college and pro sports because my God it’s everywhere and in your face daily. The promise of great riches through gambling ensnares grown mature adults everyday.

All of this is so predictable when you step back and look at what’s glorified today. Now I don’t condone what Boutte did but don’t fool yourself and think this is an isolated instance. He got caught. Most don’t until they are in the ditch.

So who we got for the LSU All Pro Prison Team? Jamarcus Russell at QB Cecil Collins at RB Kayshon Boutte at WR

Are we going to talk about how The Rant casually threw JaMarcus in the clink and just moved on?

correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't Rose adamantly insist to this day that he ALWAYS bet FOR his team to win, NEVER AGAINST? Has it ever been proven otherwise?

The only specific bet mentioned was betting he WOULD catch a TD pass in FSU game, betting he WOULD GO OVER 82.5yds.... and the mentally-challenged idiots on here all start nodding their heads and saying "Yeah I could tell he was tanking on purpose in that game" and get showered in upvotes from the other dummies

It's amazing isn't it? I've long been convinced that 90% of tRant are at best mildly touched and at worst, helmet wearing window lickers that need to be reminded when to breathe.

What Kayshon is accused of certainly doesn't look good. But I was concerned when LSU took sponsorship money from Ceasers and put Ceasers sportsbook signage in tiger stadium.

So now he screwed a LSU staff member while betting on his own team?

What a good student athlete

We don’t know what else there is to know about this. 9k bets comes to about 25 bets a day, every day of the year. Either this kid was the best bookie since Tony Soprano or there’s more going on. Where did he get the money he bet, where did he put the money he won and who absorbed the losses? Some half-arse kid did not beat the odds the better part of nine thousand times over the course of a year. And if he was betting for others, that would require keeping more records than a pawn shop and better books than wal mart. Not to mention collections and payoffs. A full time job for a clown practicing football and going to class.
