It means that Kayson Boutte may succeed in getting the No. 7 retired at LSU, something a long string of All Americans never accomplished in their tenure there. Of course, the reason for retiring the jersey would be different from others…

Did they seriously release a “redacted” affidavit where someone just drew squiggly lines through sensitive personal identifying information with a pen?

Yes, they did.
It is common to redact SS #’s and other confidential information with no direct bearing on the case.
Boutte is profoundly stupid.
But he is presumed innocent.
The public has no right to the redacted information.

I think you missed my point.

I wasn’t laughing at them for redacting his SSN.

I was laughing because they did it by drawing a squiggly line with a pen. You can still see his SSN in the document.
