No one is partaking in the propaganda and are largely ignoring it.
I think maybe the number of people that support that type of stuff is too small to pay the bills and generate the clicks needed to be profitable.
Case in point, the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition. If 50% of our country buys into to left leaning belief model, those issues would have done well.
Maybe, just maybe, the population of left leaning folks is significantly smaller than advertised, just infinitely more vocal. What else could explain these publications failing and the abysmal ratings on CNN?

There will always be a market for information, but the industry is in a bit of chaos right now because centuries old paradigms of how to market and productize information no longer work as they once did. Print media has been on life support for a long time now.
For most of our history as a country, journalism has been partisan. Post WWII, we had a relatively brief period where accuracy and objectivity were held in high regard. That time has passed and most outlets now are driven by speed and hits, which gives you a crappy product, made worse by partisan bias.

People want to be told how to think. I don’t believe for a second that the average American is looking for “unbiased” news.

Fair point. Just look at how bad some of these diversity movies are performing (Bros, the book of clarence, for example)

Business Insider is a sleazy, unethical, defamer of some of our greatest heros. It is a worthless POS rag run by the lowest of the low in journalism. It is a stain on humanity.
Now it appears that they are purging and pivoting to attempt to become a legitimate business journal.
Shortly, we will share with the world their disgusting and illegal conduct.
It is sad to see people whom I respect own and control such a disaster.
And please let us know if Katherine Long, John Cook, and Nicholas Carlson were given pink slips. If they remain, then it is clear that nothing will change and this is simply a cost reduction program.
Real journalists might listen in to the 1130am call. I expect it will be newsworthy.

So how soon, and how extensive will The Advocate layoffs be?

Only time I buy a magazine is maybe if I'm flying. Still love to flip through but the content is horrible and I'm usually done with it in 5 mins.

Every Progressive I know really hopes for this. Many reasons why you all were so upset when Elon stopped your little censorship machine.

Journolist, Dan Rather, every anchor on CNN and MSNBC, etc. Very trustworthy. No doubt. They would never lie.

Yeah, got forbid someone point out the lies the current media is telling. We can't have that.

Yes. The idea of the "career politician" needs to die quickly. That shouldn't be a goal, nor a "career".
While we are at it, the power of the Executive Order needs be gutted, its use greatly curtailed, and the Legislature needs to be forced to do their fricking job, which is......legislating.

Another word has to be used other than journalism.

Digital media and mainly podcasts put the death shot on these institutions.
The popular writers can launch their own brand and content without fear of reprisal and or oversight from editors

Paying for State Propaganda is a crazy business model.
Most of the time State propaganda is free.

Investigative journalism is also costly and consumes alot of man hours. That's one reason alot of stations have cut back on it.

The great white collar bloodbath isnt far off.
We're gonna have to figure things out quickly, its happening way faster than we can keep up. Pretty much all I do now at work can be replaced, or done on a reduced schedule.
