God I loved physics in HS. Easy AF. Too bad I was born into a poor as hell family, I love them though.

I doubt that's normal physics. A lot of high schools have a watered down physics/chemistry course that's pretty easy.

I remember AP Physics back in high school. Our teacher also taught at Georgia Tech physics and he always told us he just teaches the same physics class to us he did at GT to keep things simple and it was AP Physics afterall for college credit.
The tests were always wild. Like 4-5 problems to figure out in total and the average grade was usually around a 30-40 maybe giving partial credit for your work even if you're wrong which would be heavily curved obviously so the entire class wasnt failing
I remember we got out a test one time and my I yelled at my friend down the hallway what did he get o nthe test and he raise dup his fingers with a 7. I finally got to him and was like whoa dude you got a 70 before the curve? He was like no I got a 7 (/100)

Very solid grades. So many of these guys don't take school seriously. His high school is above average for public schools so these are solid scores. Also shows he has good parents.

Accurate. He’s only in Algebra 2, so this isn’t the calc-based physics that is so difficult in college.

Its not even non-calc physics level. It doesn't matter though because he's already showing way more than enough to remove any doubt that his grades would ever be a concern, which I doubt anyone even thought about to begin with.

With that low B in physics it doesn't look like his school work will translate well over into the college world of Kinesiology and coaching football courses

This is probably based upon the teacher and grading. Most schools have a physics 1 and 2 pairing for non-math or engineering majors and a separate physics 1 and 2 pairing for math and engineering majors.
The calc-based courses are more difficult as they pair the concepts covered in the “easier” pair with the calculations to actually solve the problems.
So basically your algebra-based class is an intro version of the calc based physics. You learn all the concepts of physics without messing around with all the higher level math.
That said, understanding calculus makes physics “easier”, but the prerequisite (understanding calculus) is hard.
