Yay!
Going to put in, then head straight to the only bank I know that had them in the past. Choosing where to try for the shallow ones is more stressful to me than anything else in fishing. I honestly have no idea how to target the shallow stuff.

We had a good Sunday caught 16 Bass pretty quick in shallows wasn't looking for size just team ziploc keepers (flukes, jerk bait and Senko all shallow). Went and found outside grass lines and short distance found the White Perch. We trolled with Blue/Chartreuse jig marking the area they was in back and forth and then eased up and threw straight at em. Found two areas they was held up in the grass. Dodging rain and tryna stay out the wind and did well 27 and we left at 4ish headed home. Threw back a lot of small WP to get some decent keepers. GL

Hoping to get on the water today in enough time to fish a little pending the rain of course. I have Turtle beach and Slaughter in my sights.

Making a trip to TB next week for a few days on the water. While Ive been several times, this will be my first time fishing Indian Creek area. Anyone fish this area lately? Just wondering what I should expect/look for to put the boys on some fish. TIA

I went to Caddo yesterday. 63-64.5 degree water. White Perch and buck bass are up. Female largemouth are sitting on the closest cover in 3-5'.
Buck bass are chasing and swirling the water like crazy. Very active.
I caught 12 in 4 hours. No big ones though.

I fish all over, and prefer mid-lake/Big Green Brake area, but yesterday I launched at Drift Inn because of the high water. I figured most of the lake is murky with all the fresh water, but it was decent to good close to the dam.
ETA: Yesterday, I covered ground with a chatter or spinnerbait and would catch a random fish here or there. See a swirl, pick up a soft plastic and throw on them. Bang.

Fished hard 8 hours Saturday for 18 crappie. They had lock jaw. Fish we caught were in staging areas, some grouped up on structure but didn’t want to bite. Guess they’ll be moving to brush piles soon and hopefully get hungry

We tried several mid-lake pockets and only got bites under cork in one and those were less than 10. In one deeper pocket, they were still under bait balls. Wind kept us from traveling too far. The little boat got a good test rounding Cypress Bend and Boone's.

We wore them out this weekend. 24 keepers over the two days for our group. Plenty smaller bucks, a few big females, still staging in the mouths of the channels. Charter baits and spinners.

Saw a Mako at Indian Mounds Saturday morning. Now wondering if that was you. Seem to remember you talked about Mako's a while back, but can't remember if that's your sled.
We got on and off the struggle bus all three days, no pattern or consistency. Managed to make a decent trip out of it, but will not rank high on the "good trip" scale.
Weightless flukes and 1/16 oz weighted swim baits we top producers.

Did you hit the bushes and the drain in the back right corner? Last time I fished there we had to dead stick senkos.

No, we probably should have, but we were actually getting bites in that little arm with all the camps.

I like that creek. A good friend of mine's Uncle lives where you are talking about. He'll see me and come chat, tell me what they are doing and throw me a biscuit. Good dude and he has caught DD's off his dock.

You don't even know how bad I wanted a biscuit.
