You people amaze me. If he’s so bad, he sucks, he needs to come back, why the hell would you want him back. Maason WILL have a long prosperous NFL career if the injury bug doesn’t get him. FACTS

And now the award for "the worst post on Tiger Rant since I've been here" is...yours! And the downvotes confirm it! First, at best he was an average SEC DL which does not mean he is ready for the NFL. That is a FACT! Mike Detillier has him a 3rd day pick and that is optimistic. Second, the reason most LSU fans wanted him back was for selfish and unselfish reasons. Selfishly, LSU fans hoped he would return to TR FR form, not the mediocre state he was in this season. The unselfish reason is that right now he is a 3rd day selection at best. If he returned to LSU and eventually came back to TR FR form, he would be a 1st round pick. He should have come back to LSU to earn him some big money IF he was able to do that. Those are the FACTS!

Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane. 5th round pick at best. He sucked last year and should’ve come back, FACTS.

He didn’t look any different athletically as a Freshman to me and I for one recall thinking and posting on this site that the kid did not look like the hype that was being posted about his play. He looked very developmental, not explosive.

He had two sacks against McNeese to make his freshman stats look good but otherwise looked exactly like he did this season. His elite quality is only in pushing and hand fighting with the OL that just mauled him during the play. That is his only elite quality.

Wish him the best ! Unfortunately his play last year speaks volumes . It’s obvious he’s got a long road ahead in terms of development. I’m afraid he’s gonna get eaten alive in the NFL.

His measurables and workouts will get him drafted a round or two higher but had he come back he could’ve been a first rounder
He’s leaving a lot of money on the table on that rookie deal
That’s where he gets screwed
Now he has to stay healthy to get that second contract

He could have really improved his draft position with a good year. As it is he’s a late rounder at best.

I disagree completely. His TR FR season, he looked like a monster. He was quicker off the snap and gave a much stronger push up the middle. I found him to be very explosive. What I don't know is was his responsibility this season more to control that area of the LOS and not to be aggressive? But I really doubt that as LSU's pass rush was putrid and needed the push up the middle.

TR FR play = A.... RS SO play = C-

Damn close to a DV record.

That's quite the feat on this board, Mrs. Smith.

Another year with the new coaching staff would have really help him and made the transition easier.

Disappointing but he's doing what he things is best.
