If he’s so bad, he sucks, he needs to come back, why the hell would you want him back.
Because we literally need bodies at DT right now. If Jefferson had another year and Mingo decided to come back, then I wouldn’t really care.
Also, I think most people here believe that Maason has upside, and we would like to see him achieve that at LSU while setting himself up for a better opportunity in the league.

He needs to get his lower body stronger or he’s going to get stood up by good NFL OL. we sea

I just feel like this is a decision he’s going to regret, maybe sooner than later. Unless he has a chronic injury that he could likely aggravate at the college level. He definitely could have helped his draft stock with the guidance of the new staff.

I was extremely happy he left because he wasn't helping us at all. A guy with that size and talent should be a dominating force, but he was the worst starting DL in the SEC. I hope he can turn it around but he needs to find a new attitude and work ethic.

Smith is mediocre! 5th rounder at best. He is the most disappointing 5star I have ever seen.

I don’t understand this “needs a year without an injury” concept? He was injured the very first game last year and had a whole year to heal. He should have been fully healed and at full strength at the beginning of the year but we never saw anything remotely close to dominance.

He is not ready- nothing this past season demonstrated that. That being said, wish the kid all the luck.
