We were crazy depleted tonight and EJ still didnt get any play.

They gave him a deal way too quickly. I don’t know if it was partly because they were looking out for him after he got injured his rookie year.

I personally think naji’s worth more than a second unless it’s the pistons or wizards

I think they felt guilty. He tore his ACL in summer league before he had an NBA contract. Seems like they did right by him but he's just not an NBA player

Even better. We only have 2 seconds. If you can recoup a few by trading Naji then do it in a heartbeat

There was a thread recently discussing trading for 6th man gunner off the bench.

That guy may be on the roster in Hawkins. His offensive game is undeniable, and much more varied than I appreciated coming into the season.

I legit had that same thought during the game.

I didn’t watch tonight so don’t know if you are referring to something specific but Naji’s role when he is 8th or 9th guy is sort of to be a spark plug and some scoring. He’s a hustle defender and a slasher with an average 3 ball. Given that the big 4 didn’t play tonight assume he was tasked with a bigger offensive role out of necessity.

I know exactly what hes referring to and in the clutch he was benched for Dyson. He was making some boneheaded plays tonight.

Sit Dyson and Naji. Play Hawk. Profit.
woah now, Dyson is a gem. They both need to playing 15-20+minutes off the bench.

He’s literally one of our best offensive players. He could be our end of game guy, which is what we are missing.

Willie needs to wake up.

Naji needs to sit.

I don’t see Naji hate.
I see a sober look at the state of the roster. It seems we all appreciate what Naji can do, but given the salary cap and Hawkins shooting like he does we may need to think about moving him before the deadline.

Willie in the postgame presser on Hawk:

“He’s making my job extremely difficult.”

It doesn’t have to be this difficult!!! FREEHAWK

There's no question. You can buy a 2nd for $3 million. Naji is massively underpaid for his production.

It's good that Willie has an off day today to figure out new rotations and let guys know what their new roles will be.

Because Dyson and Hawk need to come in together for CJ and Herb, instead of Jose and Naji coming in together for them.

This isn't just about Naji. It's going to significantly impact Jose's minutes as well.

I think you have to be looking at a bench 5 of Trey, Hawkins, Larry, Dyson, and then Jose/Naji depending on matchups.

We are deep enough to get the starters more rest most nights to keep them fresh. But there are definitely minutes to be lost from bench player to bench player here as well.

I was always perplexed by that deal. I am wondering if it was about insurance. I do think the team wanted to do right by EJ when he got injured, but a guaranteed contract was a dumb way to do that.
