What I think that I would do is:

- Trey and Larry come in together for BI and Jonas.
- Dyson and Hawk come in together for CJ and Herb.
- BI then comes back in for Zion.

That would have Zion playing almost all of the 1st quarter. I think that his conditioning is there now to do that.

It would also mean BI getting a long break in the 1st quarter and then playing almost all of the 2nd.

Now imagine another shooter that can play decent minutes to take those Jose/Naji minutes to an extent. That could be Burks but I also think that could be Ryan.

I love Jose but I think the more Dyson develops it may mean he’s the odd man out.

He needs all of Jose's minutes and some of cjs. Naji plays 3/4 and he plays 1/2 so you can't really take a lot of his minutes but this mfer needs 25 plus a night. He's fricking serious. There's a level he can get to that naji/Jose can't. He looks like he's got 3 level scorer potential with volume from 3. His shot selection is really advanced. Can shoot off the rub and off the dribble. No problems with a pump fake or shot reset after a fake.

Are there ways we can put Hawkins out there as an offensive 3 while hiding his defensive liabilities by switching guys with Dyson, Herb, etc?

I’m just looking at ways to expand our possible lineups considering that we have a glut of guards (CJ, GTA, Dyson, Hawkins) and at least one of those (GTA) is kind of limited to being point even if he busts his arse on defense hounding people.

This is one of those good problems to have in a sense… too many good players to find minutes for all of them. As opposed to the old days when we had probably 5-6 NBA level players and were raiding the trash heap for guys like Ajinca to fill a role cheaply.

I said this on draft night, read all of that again but with Peja in mind. Hawkins is like Peja 2.0. Dude can rain it from anywhere and pull up off the dribble like nothing. Also sneaky good at getting to the rim for easy layups.

Skinny screen shooter, deadly if left wide open, etc.

Really wanna see a lineup of Dyson, Hawk, Trey, Zion, and Larry. Would also love to see the same lineup with BI instead of Zion too.

Dyson and Hawk complement each other so well.

I actually prefer Jonas in there with Dyson and Hawkins. The 2 times Hawk went the frick off was with no Zion and BI, but with JV.

JV seems to mesh well with Hawk on a small sample size

It's mainly because you feed the ball in, draw a double, kick it out. Or run simple screens. It's elementary ball that works extremely well between those 2.

If feel Zion and BI mess with that since they aren't largely getting feed inside.

I would like to see CJ/Dyson/Hawk bring the ball up and feed it to Zion or BI on the block rather than keep giving Zion or BI the ball at the top or letting them be primary ball handlers when we have Hawkins in.
