I haven’t seen why you have to go- I know you’re picking up your spouse but not sure why she’s stuck there- but best of luck. A pretty terrible idea otherwise.

Hospital shift.

Didn't want her to take a front wheel drive car. I have a 4wd truck. Not worth anything for ice. But I can get back on the road if need be.

My car has solid ice buildup. Power lines have visible icicles already. Forecast grim. Opening bourbon. It's every man for himself at this time.

Well... crap... just looked at Thursday's forecast. There's like an 80% chance of more of this... and it ain't getting above freezing until next Monday. I've been paying attention to yesterday and today's weather so much that I never bothered to check ahead.

At least it is supposed to be sunny Wednesday.

Yeah ice on the northern side of my yard in 70808. Still raining. Told the kids I would stay up and wake them if it snowed so that’s what I’m doing. They’re bummed their Texas friends saw snow today.

Yea… that can cause a snowball effect if not prepared LOL . Ice on power lines is concerning though.

Wife got me a weather station for my birthday today. I love it. Updates every 16 seconds. This is in Youngsville, LA.

I drove through Youngsville around that time. Really slushy and a lot of ice on truck from the rain

I’m also in Youngsville and it’s getting crispy out there. Roads and driveway aren’t iced yet though. The plunging temps later tonight will change that. I’m not going to work tomorrow before noon

I’m in Youngsville and the power has been out for almost 30 minutes. It’s very exciting

As has been proven many times, ice is worse than snow, at least in Louisiana
