Anyone know Mason Smith’s draft position projection?

Has to be no earlier than 4th.
Also, curious how much his salary would be compared to his NIL if he stayed this upcoming year.

Even a grade this high would be entirely based on potential and being physically gifted.
If they turn on the tape and actually analyze his game this past season, he may slip further.

For everyone to think he sucks so bad, why are there so many threads about him leaving?
Maybe the young man just doesn't like school or perhaps he just doesn't want to risk another injury before getting his shot in the NFL.
No one on here knows his projected draft position, but I wish him nothing but the best.

6TH ROUND BENCH!!!!

He has good freshman tape, got better as he got healthier this year, and has insane measurables. We’re going to miss him and he’ll get drafted top 4 rounds.

Life is a crap shoot. I am sure the coaching staff discussed the pros and cons. For sure if he stayed and was an all SEC player, higher pick and much more money. If he stayed and was a bust or worse got a career ending injury then he is totally screwed. So it is his call and I do not fault him for his decision. Will never know the "what If" cause he chose to not take the road less traveled. Whether it was the right choice remains to be seen. Only a guess but I would think last season's defensive debacle played a major role in this decision.

Besides a few games at the end, he genuinely got his shite pushed in all year. There is no way he goes in the first 3-4 rounds. Bc he's 6'5 310? He got dominated in 80% of our games.
He needed to come back and prove he wasn't this season. Such a dumb decision. Esepcially when getting nil as ya do it

Saw a mock early this morning that had him going 99th. Kid cost himself a lot of money even if he goes in the 2nd round.

5th or 6th - he should have stayed

Depending how well he tests at the combine & interviews...I could see him going anywhere from rounds 3-6.
His potential is what teams will reach for & draft him above what his play on the field warranted.
He'll be a late round pick even if he has a bad combine/interview imo. Too much potential not to take a gamble on.

Could be bullshite, but the rumor out of Football Ops is he was told third round. Agents convinced him and his family late first due to a weak draft class.

Fourth round to UDFA

So glad he decided to go. Good luck to him.

I don't know what his draft position will be, if I had to guess I'd say 4th rounder on down. But I do know 1 thing and that is him and Mehki Wingo are getting really bad advice. Smh Also, Maason Smith is built bad, I've always thought for such a large guy how could he be built that bad. Just a weird shape.
