Jon Gruden is 14 games under .500 in his last 9 seasons since winning the Super Bowl. His best season with Oakland was 8-8, worse than fricking DA, and he gutted their roster with overpriced veterans and terrible win now moves. His offensive system is 25 years old and far removed from any of the elite offensive systems currently being run. But he makes up for all that by being a pariah within the league with both players and the league office. Jesus Christ what a disaster that would be.
Beautifully sums up my thoughts on the matter too.

Gruden has to take baby steps back in after he was scapegoated…

As OC. Nothing else. Its a long shot but there is no downside. What? we get worse? I don't think so. He may get the most out of the offense. He will be a good boy and not be a distraction cause he may want to HC again and needs a good quite run somewhere to get it. He may have the leverage over the nfl via a potential trails disclosures to get it. You want butts in the seats this is how you get it.
i could see both sides happy with this, i see no down side for saints or gruden no matter if it works out of not
gruden is on staff if DA gets fired and he can be IHC and see what he can do to get the HC job here in 25.
no one else is coming here for a dead end job couching this organization under DA to be fired after 1 year
the only choice you are left with is, keeping PC, or give jon a shot and see what happens

Yeah i get it. Kind of lame but if I were you I would have capitalized the once to show theres a difference between the two statements. Otherwise it just looks like the same exact statement and your attempt to troll looks nonexistent.

Because I'll become a Saints fan again once they sign Gruden? Why the hate?
Nah. I got confused with the NewBeginnings weak arse post. I missed what you did there. My bad. I'm with you

Every team pretty much knows who they want before going into the process. It happens all the time

Gruden as HC + this shitass NFC South?
fricking in. Let’s ride.

Do you not think Gruden has sat back and learned from his years of watching the game? Payton reinvented his offense the year after he got suspended. I am all for any offensive innovator to get a shot.

Gruden is a pure head coach. Allen doesn’t have the “it” factor
Hopefully they ease Gruden in and he takes over as interim HC next year

He’ll likely be on the staff next year. Underhill hinted at it yesterday. Either OC or an assistant.
If they keep Carmichael and let Curry go I'll beat my head against the wall. If Gruden comes on board if can't be for any reason other than OC or OC/Assistant HC.

Knowing DA. He’ll just add Gruden as assistant head coach/off consultant and keep everyone else on board. After everything this season, this organization will sell Jon Gruden (who has serious issues of his own) as being the answer.

Subtle humor is an art not to be appreciated by all. Good day Sir.

He is the answer. Serious issues
The biggest issue to address is oline coach / running game coordinator

If your target audience are frustrated saints fans on a message board- you will likely fail with subtle humor but kudos for you for trying.

Lol Gruden is the answer? You’re so delusional and buy everything this organization sells dont you?
Yeah he has serious issues. Hes suing the league and has made ridiculous remarks to various groups (whether you agree with him or not); in any other profession people would laugh if you’re hiring someone with his “issues.”
If you think after everything this team has endured this season that the biggest issue is oline coach/ running game coordinator- you’re more delusional than I thought.

What the frick are you talking about? I’ve posted about Gruden before the Duncan article came out. Who gives a frick if he sent emails the league didn’t like?
Those are absolutely the biggest issues on this team from a performance perspective. Of course there are other areas to improve but we’re talking high priority

My guess is we hire Jay gruden as OC and Jon as an off consultant

The NFL cares. You know the same league the Saints are in. You act like its no big deal. Hes now suing the league. This isn’t some small issue.
You think an oline coach and a disgraced coach who is suing the NFL, is going to magically solve all our problems? Lol ok.
I wish I had your optimism and lack of perspective lol
