We need some excitement and FU energy. Gruden would bring both.
So would Brees.
Make Brees the head coach. That's the only person you could bring in where DA might be willing to go back to DC.

and hes the guy who’s going to fix this team lol?
As OC. Nothing else. Its a long shot but there is no downside. What? we get worse? I don't think so. He may get the most out of the offense. He will be a good boy and not be a distraction cause he may want to HC again and needs a good quite run somewhere to get it. He may have the leverage over the nfl via a potential trails disclosures to get it. You want butts in the seats this is how you get it.

The stupidest thing I've ever heard.
So he isn't even going to be the OC.
This is turning into a totally dysfunctional organization because of this stupid kunt.
Give it 2 more years and this team will be winning 4-5 games a year.

I don’t disagree with what you’re saying. Its just it would be nice if we did actual interviews, found real candidates and found a fresh face thats not just a random colleague of Payton to run this offense. Gruden is better than nothing. But its sad those are our two choices- Gruden or nothing.

If Gruden was on the staff and Smith came in hot like that, guaranteed he doesn’t apologize and makes it hurt the next time we face a team w Smith on the coaching staff. Hell, some of the players would probably need to insert themselves in the middle

Jon Gruden is 14 games under .500 in his last 9 seasons since winning the Super Bowl. His best season with Oakland was 8-8, worse than fricking DA, and he gutted their roster with overpriced veterans and terrible win now moves. His offensive system is 25 years old and far removed from any of the elite offensive systems currently being run. But he makes up for all that by being a pariah within the league with both players and the league office. Jesus Christ what a disaster that would be.
Let’s kick the tires on Tom Coughlin or Mike Martz while we’re at it.

Need a shake up.
Something to inject some excitement back into an organization that has gone stale.
