in the foreign policy game of chess, Israel is a strategic piece that it benefits the US to support.

Fixed it for you:
Because MUSLIMS run media and other powerful entities have brainwashed them completely
Muslims are by far the most powerful force in American politics. They want to establish a caliphate and have politicians in their pocket to make it happen with mass migration. Need any proof? See Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib.

I think you are 100% right and I had never heard of dispensationalism until you brought it up but that sounds like exactly what it is. Which is crazy for me because I’ve actually read the Bible and know that it’s bullshite since the New Testament supersedes the old, and that without the blood of Christ there is ZERO way for one to go to heaven regardless of if they are a Jew or not.
quote:this part I agree with
On a non-religious basis, Americans have been taught (rightly or wrongly) that most of the nations in the Middle East are strongly anti-American and instigators of terrorism, and that only Israel is a reliable ally in this region.

quote:I never said we have to sever all ties to Israel. But we don’t need to put boots on the ground for them or send them aid for free. If they want to be Allies, allow us to put bases in their land to protect them, or Buy our weapons, not just take, then I’m all for it.
the hypothetical scenario wherein Israel had absolutely no, zero, alliance with the United States or any other country, completely on their own no matter who attacks them or how……do you believe Iran would hesitate to invade Israel either directly or through their network of proxies or both, with the intent to ultimately commit genocide against the Jews in that country and to take over the actual country as its own? They’ve not exactly been very shy about their wishes and goals in that regard. In other words, would Iran do that and would that represent a threat to our security and interests here in America?

Why do you feel the need to continue funding the Biden Corruption enterprise in Ukraine?

The secular state of Israel has become a golden calf that many Christian’s worship.

I believe they do purchase our weapons. I could be wrong.
And I’m not a proponent of boots on the ground either, less and except some scenario wherein the country’s on the verge of being toppled.

A non existing country was surrounded by what exactly?
Failed history? Never took world geometry?
Britain controlled all of that.

Because if we don't and Israel is losing a conflict to a lot of people with the destruction of Israel being their stated reason for existing Israel starts slinging nukes around the world's oil supply?

Israel is our only solid ally in the Mideast region. We are culturally and politically aligned. Having a dependable ally in that region of the world is crucial to our national security.
festering - THIS is our grandchildrens peril - and reason to gain control of our government again.

I mean if you quote my post and respond to me I’m going to assume you are talking to me. So yes I did read your post, and I did understand it, at least to the point anyone with a functioning brain would.

Why is it so hard for many Americans, especially the religious right, to understand that Israel is a foreign government with their own interests firsts, not the Israelites who were gods chosen people. We don’t owe the Israeli government shite. It’s good that they’re our Allie’s and are more western than the rest of the ME and can somewhat keep the Muslims in their place, but we should see them as an asset nothing more. We don’t have to bend over backwards to help them if it isn’t in our own interest.
Without a strong partner like Israel in the ME, we have no base to keep a close eye on our enemies there.

The Bible/disbelief
Are all real. You can deny or argue about them, but that changes nothing.

This is a great question. As a 50+ white male I have never understood why the US is so damn concerned with them, Ukraine, or any other damn country! We’re being invaded from the south and not a damn thing is being done.

Assuming that they are all real, how does that answer the question in the OP?

It is a shame that you were not around 800 yrs ago when the Crusades were churning on. You could have saved everyone a lot of grief back then...
