Why do so many Americans feel we have to always aid israel?

Because it's our biggest military base in the middle east and doesn't cost us any soldiers or lives.

Because a lone democracy and people surrounded by enemies on all sides that wish them extinction need a friend and ally, and we are that friend and ally. Because the roots of Western Civilization, of which we are most certainly a part of, are firmly rooted in and from Israel and are reflected in our faith, our common morals, and so many other things that bind us together as peoples, and those who desire slaughtering civilians just to watch them die are the enemies of both our peoples, and all of Western Civilization. And finally, because Israel does more to keep us up to speed on threats to this nation that they many times exceed what we gather from our own intelligence agencies, and that keeps America safe.
