Would not be my favorite defense to run.
Seems like thats what they primarily ran at mizzou.

Honestly after this year, I'm open to pretty much anything.

Just let the dogs be dogs

I don't care what he runs honestly as long as it makes sense with our personnel

He runs a 4-2-5 which is similar to what lsu ran years ago with a hybrid LBer/Safety as the 5th DB. It is meant to get better speed/coverage on the field and you can think of Perkins as that hybrid for example.

Same as a Jacoby Stevens as well.

I just want to see our defense RUN

It’s been a while since we’ve seen guys fly around on the field making stops. Just run and tackle and run the system that fits the personnel.

Watching that Michigan D fly around and makes stops against Bama reminded me of LSU defenses of old.

I'd like to see us able to run a 3-3-5. I don't think we have the best personnel for it currently though

3-3-5 is the best defense to attack spread offenses...

3-3-5 stack is amazing

Posted this on the CC board a few days ago if you’re interested. It’s pretty basic, but it at least gives some insight on his personnel in the scheme.

I don't give damn what they run as long as it fits the personnel and works.

Most teams will run a variation of 3-3-5 or 4-2-5 because nearly everyone runs the spread or some form of it.

Whatever scheme he ultimately runs, he needs them to work on tackling first and foremost.

I highly doubt that will be our base but we have at times run 3-3-5. Aranda ran it frequently.

3-3-5 with Perkins rover.
Passing downs, DB comes in, Perkins slides down to stand-up end in 4-2-5.

The ink isn't dry and the second guessing and bitchin has started. Gotta love the experts on tRant and our "I know better than the coach" fanbase.
