The cash bros must just go their vault, they don’t need reward points.

Sorry you’re losing out on free money. Just pay it off and soak up the rewards.

I paid mine off over a week ago and will do so again this week as I do every two weeks.

The ole lady and I took a trip to Hawaii this year using nothing but credit card points.

Credit cards are awesome if you’re financially responsible. You’ll never catch me using a debit card. Just asking for trouble with those things.

My wife and I buy shite throughout the year for this specific thing. One year when we were paycheck to paycheck we went too hard and that interest is a bitch.

I'm not. I'm flush. The point is that not everyone wants to go into their cash-on-hand to pay for a large purchase. Just because you pay for something as you go doesn't mean you can't afford it. I can go pay cash for a car, but I'm not going to.
I agree with you. I meant the general population and going into debt for Christmas.

However, you are leaving points/rewards on the table unused. It is best to pay it off every month to get the points
I get it and I used to do that. However it's been proven that people spend more money when using a credit card vs debit card. It's also the concept of always having "a bill" or "a statement" rather than it coming directly from your account. I'd rather not be a slave to the lender and always have a credit card bill to worry about. Dont care if I leave my points on the table.

Thankfully we have unlimited layaway here where I live.

I haven't seen a credit card statement in over 20 years.

It cracks me up to hear people justify credit card use for the points. These people are always broke dick mofos.

That is exactly what it means.
Just because you can afford the payments, does not mean that you can afford the purchase.

Because you can not afford to.
Quit fricking lying to yourself.

It is also more convenient. I rarely use cash anymore. The last time I got cash out was sometime in the early days of COVID. It had nothing to do with COVID I just remember walking to the ATM down the street from my office and it was the first time I saw "everyone" wearing a mask. I took out $400 and I just looked in my wallet and I have $207 left. The majority of that $193 was used for tipping valets and the like.

Yes, a 15 year mortgage on my primary residence. Which is the only thing that qualifies as a large purchase.

Only the financial irresponsible should do this. Using a CC can have great benefits. Only reason I have a debit card is for quick atm at my bank.
Why would you give a potential fraudster access to your checking account when all you have to do is freeze the credit card and dispute it? Always use someone else’s money.
