But he stole that shite too.

Jose Alvardo should never play an NBA game in any other jersey other than ours.

Edit: he stole a fricking a from my post

He just makes winning plays.

Apparently he’s stealing letters too.

I saw Lebron hit Jose with the “too small” shite. My brotha in Christ Jose had picked your pocket like 4 times, get out of here with that shite.

See any one of my many posts about all he does is win his minutes every season. He can't be traded, his value in a trade can never match what his value is on the court.

He's not untouchable but he is basically untradeable.

I kept trying to tell people Jose was important to this team.

I don't see him going anywhere. People were acting like he would get his minutes taken or shipped out.

His minutes did get “taken” Cdub. He’s lost 6 minutes per game over last year, Dyson gained 6 minutes

Love Alvarado. He's a huge difference maker for us.

But it's going to be tough to keep him. We have option for next year (for less than 2M). He deserves more than that. I fully believe he could start for a handful of teams and could/should demand 10M+. You can't expect him to not go after the best deal/situation for his future.

Jose’s status on the team is very safe.

He is also coming back from a long injury layoff. I think his minutes will creep back up.

Many on here said his minutes would get "taken" completely.

Just look to last night.

Dyson is too much of a black hole on offense. He needs to be played sparingly when we need an extra plus defender until/if he can find an offensive game. With him in no one has to respect him and it clogs things up.

We need more spacers like Hawkins or high energy guys like Jose.

I suggested his minutes should not be guaranteed as recently as about 2 weeks ago. He was absolutely struggling for a bit, pressing too hard to be a proto-pg, but he seems to be getting his feet back under him and getting back to GTA.

He averaged 18.8 mpg the first 7 games of Dec
He then averaged 13.4 the past 6 games of Dec even after logging 20 last night

Like DNP, taken completely? No one said that, dont make stuff up

There's not a more "prisoner of the moment" player than Jose. Every time he has a good game folks call for more minutes, forgetting the weeks he goes dormant

He wins his minutes consistently, this year being 3 years running. And that's on a team that has been sub .500 overall in those 3 seasons.

He might have the best on/off on the entire team these past 3 seasons. The sample size is too large for it to be a coincidence, he's a valuable rotation dude, especially for the regular season.

He doesn't have the upside of a Dyson, but it's painfully obvious, not solely based on last night, Jose is more reliable and consistent in his role than Dyson at this point.

Plus minus is fine if we don’t selectively use it, which happens here a lot.

I hesitate to mention his RPM is in the negative the last three seasons bc this isn’t me trying to shite on him. I’m merely suggesting, maybe this is one of the minutes distributions they get right? Perhaps they found a sweet spot. More minutes isn’t always the answer with a guy like that, you run the risk of getting exposed (which RPM already suggests, but i digress). I’m comfortable giving him 15 mpg and a little less or more when the situation calls for specific lineups

Dyson is good in specific situations but you are correct, if Jose keeps
Hitting shots and plays with energy, his minutes will continue to be consistent

Jose gets the home crowd amped up during parts of the game when the crowd typically is somewhat docile. That in itself is pretty valuable trait.

Agreed that 15-20mpg is the sweet spot.
