You think that's the solution, or.. will they stop when Isreal is a country in ....the South Pacific instead of the middle east, or maybe they will stop when Isreal ceases to exist...or maybe only when the infidel west is under Muslim rule ..or ______

So in other words create another Bin laden.

The Saudis spent almost a decade bombing Yemen. They lost. North Yemen also defeated the Egyptians when they intervened.

These are very tough people who love war, and are good at it. They’re also not going to listen to anyone else. They’ll stop firing missiles when the Israelis pull out of Gaza.
They will stop when someone with the will and the means wants them to stop... ie.. some force or peoples go comanche style on them.

The Yemeni govt is pulling a Hamas/"Palestine". Giving the Houthis cover like they have been for a decade.

A lot of north africans who attempt to flee to Saudi first make the trip to Yemen then get smuggled across to Saudi. Problem is, if you're caught, many times you are shot on sight

How the hell did the Houthis get a cruise missile ? Yemen is a very poor country, where did they get the cash to buy a cruise missile and who made that thing ? Is it an Iranian or Russian model ?

Although I agree that overwhelming force may not get the job done, I worry that the scenario you describe may lead to a long smoldering conflict, that without proper leadership in the WH, will lead to slow increases of US troop presence and we find ourselves once again stalled in a quagmire. Sometimes, overwhelming force responses like Operation Desert Storm, while still controversial, is the most useful to get the enemy to pull out all stops and try to defeat them. This allows the attacker 9us) to take out a large portion of their strategic reserves early, then prevent them from restocking, if we are allowed to condone off the regio

We aren’t considering our tried and true strategy that would work without losing a single American life

That should’ve happened decades ago. They don’t understand anything but destruction and death.

He laid out what would happen if some belligerent countries stopped accepting free passage of commerce ships through international waters. In short, economic collapse.

This could basically shut down the Med, Suez, and Red Sea. There are a host of countries that could start whipping Houthi asses if that route is shut down. China, Japan, Turkey, etc.

Perhaps a Gulf of Tonkin card will be played to initiate hostilities?

There was once was a solution written and if we applied that solution to the current problem I think the results would benefit everyone as a whole.
