Actually #6 Georgia is 14 point favorite over FSU in Orange Bowl. That should be a hint.
Oregon was 10 point favorites over Washington, so your point is?? I think the bigger issue is everyone saying Bama beat the 2 time defending champions on a 29 game winning streak. No, they beat a team that had a new starting quarterback and nearly an entirely new defense. Is Georgia talented? Absolutely they are, but they struggled with South Carolina, Auburn, and Ga Tech.

It’s just too early for people to complain. If bama beats Michigan or wins it all then they got it right. If uga beats fsu they got it right. We’ll see.
Not really.
They will say that, but it still isn’t right. Because we don’t know what would have happened had FSU got in. Maybe they would have won it all

I'd leave Michigan out if we're playing this retarded game..
Check out their non conference schedule, and the only impressive win on their schedule is OSU.
Washington actually stepped up out of conference, like FSU did.
Michigan pussied out.

No they still would’ve gotten it wrong. How do those outcomes make what this corrupt committee did to FSU make it ok?

FSU not as much.
FSU brings a ton of revenue. That is a massive fan base with a national brand.

Go it wrong? Who would FSU replace? All four plus Georgia are better teams
I’m not a believer in the PAC12. I think FSU’s defense is good enough to beat Washington without Travis.
I also don’t believe Michigan is that great. BIG is overrated too. Not sure they would beat FSU

this kind of thinking is so wrong. the point of the committee is there were a lot of great teams with great records this year. so any of them were capable of winning. Georgia could have won it all, no doubt. so did the committee do the right thing in keeping them out? you'll never know because it has to be decided on the field, which is what the season is about. who deserved the opportunity to have the chance? Oregon is capable of winning it all as well.

quote:What precedent?
Every LSU fan (and college football fan) should hate the precedent they just set.
College football is a business. It's run like a business and always has been run like a business. There's no precedent set here.
What the committee did this year should come as no surprise to anyone who has followed college football...or life in general for that matter.

So then, the ends justify the means...Got it.

so our QB goes down last week of the season next year, you OK with them bumping us down because of it?

Bama and Texas does. FSU not as much.
I don't know about TV money on the backend, but FSU travels exceptionally well.

If they got it right, and UGA is better, why did they put FSU ahead of UGA?
They ranked UGA #1 every week but they lose the last game by 3pts and now their #6?

What precedent?
Losing a player is sufficient to put a lesser deserving team in the playoffs.
Its purely subjective, they destroyed any hint of objectivity.
Alabama lost to Texas, by two scores at home, and needed a literal miracle to beat Auburn, who lost to N. Mexico State the week before.
Meanwhile, FSU loses its starting QB, proceeds to win its next two games.
Anytime a school not named Alabama or Texas loses a key player, they can now just decide that you will not be competitive.
FSU won with defense btw

There is no precedent. Every year is different. This does not marry them to anything lol

4 best teams not 4 most deserving teams
This line of reasoning died when they didnt put UGA in there too.
They put Bama in because they wanted to and then made up the reasoning after.

oh, so you do not know the meaning of the word precedent.
here is the definition (bolded part is my emphasis):
quote:
an earlier event or action that is regarded as an example or guide to be considered in subsequent similar circumstances.
while not required to give anyone going forward the same treatment, this event can be used as an example of it being perfectly OK to do so.
that is called a precedent.
which was just set.
when you get to 6th grade, we'll teach you some more big words.

Wrong, it's the 4 best teams not the 4 most deserving teams lol. Committee got it right. It's always been the 4 best teams
Why is Washington in? Are they bette than FSU? Are they better than Georgia?
It is not the 4 best. There are other 1 or 2 loss teams that are probably better than some teams in the playoff.
4 best is completely subjective and subject to the whims and biases of the committee
