What precedent?

College football is a business. It's run like a business and always has been run like a business. There's no precedent set here.
Were all you people who support the Bama decision college football fans in 2011/2012? Were you an so-called LSU fan? This is the same crap that was pulled back then. "Bama is the best team".

So what you're saying is you supported Bama getting a Mulligan back then? The precedent was set back then.

Anybody who supports the committee decision IS NOT AN LSU FAN. GTFO.

Or things football is actually soccer.

Gumps backdoored in yet again. Weve seen it before, but now they removed 100% of objectivity.

The ACC is a joke of a football league.

You do realize that the SEC hasn’t been doing too hot in OOC games?

But here is the problem, you have to look at all 4 teams that got in ahead of FSU, not just bama. What makes FSU so different from Washington or Michigan? From Texas?

People are focusing on bama vs FSU as if that was the only decision that had to be made. Then you mentally match them up, and give bama the benefit of the doubt because they are historically a team that’s very hard to beat.

That is a stupid way to look at things and ultimately gives bama more opportunities to win and perpetuate that same bias.

So wait, you are crying about a consideration?

because I want them to consider any and everything in a given year.

Like in the 2014 season when they put 1-loss Ohio St in the playoff with a backup QB.

So I would recommend that you stop using 'precedent' as a binding word, as if every team that losses their QB late in the season are cancelled from being selected to the playoff.

Bama bias is real, but they got it right. Losing your best player affects how good your team is. How good would we be without the 2023 version of Jayden Daniels?

Should not wins and losses matter the most?

Worse loss is the most hair-brained and blockheaded reasoning I have ever heard. It is a loss. That's it.

CFP bowing down to SEC and Big 10. All 4 teams are, or will be next year SEC or Big 10. All other leagues need not apply.

They got it right. UGA did not win the SEC and Fla. ST. is more lightweight than Wash or UT, but that is a close call and debatable

If the teams, in this scenario, do not play each other, who is to say which is better? If that is already known, why play the games? Tendentious people are possessed of very limited intellects.

But what they did to those players is absolute horrid. Telling them to kick rocks because their teammate had the audacity to get hurt? Absolute joke.

Completely agree. I am not going to watch it and I hope more people don't. frick the committee. What's the point in busting your arse?!

It’s just too early for people to complain. If bama beats Michigan or wins it all then they got it right. If uga beats fsu they got it right.

No they didn't.

By that logic UGA should have been in also because they would be favored and probably beat both Wahington and Michigan.

You can’t use results to justify it, that’s 20/20 hindsight. If you hit on 18 in blackjack and get a 3 you did not get it right, you got lucky

What are you basing this on? Even their out of conference schedule was solid compared to everyone on this list. they stepped up, won every game despite obstacles.

Go look at Michigans schedule. Alabama even lost the only out of conference game worth a damn on their schedule.

the logic is you do not even start to survey a team like UGA until you run out of worthy conference champions. And it never got to that.

Hypothetically if there was a 5th team, it would be FSU, not UGA.

The more it appears that the committee got it wrong. I wouldn’t want to have to defend that decision right now. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear that they will have to.

Just interesting to watch that the 4/5 slot is the current controversy, it was the 2/3 with BCS, and next year it will be the 12/13.

so your reading comprehension skills are also lacking.

let me slow this down for you.

the committee just said “we can pick and choose whoever the frick we want despite what actually happened in the regular season”.

does that mean this exact scenario is exactly how it will play out again?

no dipshit it does not.

but this now gives them free and clear authority to ignore the actual season that just happened and guess about the future instead.
