Your typing gave me a seizure. But you're factually wrong.
Travis got hurt week 12. The committee did move FSU down to 5 after the injury. They moved them back up to 4 after they squeaked out of Gainesville with a win.
Doesn't help explain their "logic" though.

My memory failed me on that one. Seems Auburn got dinged for having lost to Clemson. Kind of raw deal, though I'd argue this year is hardly comparable to the way Bama got in in 2017.

It doesn’t matter that OSU wound up winning, they didn’t deserve to be there.
TCU didn't have a conference championship to play in. No way a 1-loss conference co-champion without a CCG win gets in over a 1-loss conference champion that had CCG win and over a ranked opponent at that. Pretty much the reason why the Big 12 established a CCG to try and avoid this. Ohio St did deserve to be there.

Because it is part of the criteria agreed upon for the CFP. Its right there in the rules that they can consider recent injuries and such.
